Our phone line has been out for 4 days due to one of the severe electrical storms we've been having, so I didn't even get to try for the far!
Damn! When I reported the fault and the guy said we'd have to wait unless some one in our household suffered from any kind of medical problems that might neccesitate us calling for emergency help, I should have told him I suffer from Blunderitis!!!

One of the guitar players with Sarah Lee and Johnny was Mike Riley.

Kurt, thanks... Jack Neilson was the one I was thinking of.... I knew if I saw the name, I'd remember.

My pleasure. The websites have pictures which I need to recognize folks. :) After staying up waaaaaay past my bedtime two nights in a row, I see I was having spelling malfunctions during my sleepwalking/typing. :? but the website names are good.

Hello all...Gordon Titcomb here...I don't often "invade" Arlo's site, although I do drop in from time to time to read the posts ( and check our schedule :-) ...It was an amazing tour, and SO MANY people came up to us, thanked us, and each of them had a story...very gripping stories of their experiences, losses and their stories of hope for the rebuilding of New Orleans. This will be a long, rough road for so many folks...let's all make sure that they continue to be not only in our prayers & thoughts, but also in our actions. There are many ways to help....choose your favorite one, but PLEASE, know that it is desperately needed and appreciated more than you can possibly imagine.

We were taken on a tour of some the more ravaged ares, and I can tell you, first hand, that the images of Katrina's devastation that you have seen on TV & print media, while horrific, are a mere suggestion of the scope of the destruction that ensued from Katrina's wrath.

Also...just thought that I'd throw my website "hat into the ring" of performers on the tour. I hope to have pictures from the tour on the site shortly.

I’m just home from New Orleans as well. My cab driver to the airport Sunday morning was named Nicholas Dieufumaite. He is a middle aged man, born in Haiti, who came to this country 20 years ago. Nicholas, like everyone else we met in New Orleans, has astonishing stories to tell but when I asked him the most important thing he wanted me to convey to folks when I got back home he responded, (paraphrasing pretty close here…)“Tell them ‘thank you’. Yes, ‘thank you’ for all they will do for us. MY country, the United States, will not turn its back on us. It’s citizens are our brothers and sisters and they will give without thinking of themselves when they understand how desperate things are here. They will give, just as we would give to them if they were hurting so badly. Please tell them 'thank you'!” Preemptive gratitude from a man who trusts us all to help. Now we have a whole bunch of work to do if we're going to find a way to be deserving of that faith and tell Nicholas “You’re welcome.” This tour ain't over folks; in some ways it's only beginning.
-John Flynn

Hi Gordon! Thanks for dropping by :) I met you in UMASS after Arlo's show last month. I was the girl with the long blonde hair, black fur collar sweater, and blue denim skirt that had a photo taken with you out in the lobby :D such a treat and great pleasure speaking to you as well 8) I'm sure you have met thousands of people in the last few months but you probably don't remember, thats OK.

I'm glad the tour was fabulous and awesome and even watched the video clips on the T2NO Tour on the internet, very interesting!....but seeing the clips and photos of aftermath of Katrina in most places was painful :(

I cannot wait to see the pix! Nice of you to drop by and I will check your website for the pix periodically. :)

Peace

Lorie

Hi, Gordon. Your website needs a guestbook, just like John Flynn's. Just a suggestion (from your Fan Club Pres).... good to see you having so much fun on the stage at Tipitina's. Plenty of close-ups of you smiling!

Just heard this from a dear friend in South Australia: "Hi Jude, would you believe the day I got your email - there was a special on TV that night on Arlo Guthrie, all about him taking a train trip across America to raise funds for the victims of the New Orleans disaster, good on him !!"

It's great to get these reports from all over the planet!

Yeah Gordon, when you are invited, it's not considered an invasion!
Nice to see you here, and Mr. Fynn too! Nice work boys.
