The way stubhub works, they are supposed to have actual tix, but of course there are frauds all over the place.

Reg - stubhub is in it for the money, by tacking on percentage fees on both buyer and seller. Additionally, they proscribe the shipping fee. So sellers tend to inflate prices even more, to cover the fees they'll be hit with. Buyers get screwed with high prices.
If you look to ebay, in most cases you can find an honest auction, and there's no added fee to the buyer, other than shipping. The seller fees are usually much lower than stubhub.
Craigslist can be the best, since it's the most open (and unregulated) market.

I am finally going to see Arlo for the first time at the Colonial Theatre in Keene on November 21, 3rd row center. I am beyond excited!

wish he was going back to LL Bean it was a great show we took our younger son he was 10 then he and his much older sisters and brothers grew up listening to Arlo, Woody, JJ, Dylan... he loved it & got to shake Arlo's hand the only think he said would have made it better was you guessed it The PICKLE song!!

I'll be in Akron this Saturday. I'm taking along a friend that's never seen Arlo live before. She's going to love this. I can't wait!!!!

Had a nice time at the Arlo show in Columbus, OH Sun nite. He did a song I had never heard him do before so that was well worth the price of admission. So sorry you didn't get to come out after the show AG. We missed you hon. Hope you are doing well...

Glad you had a great time I can't wait till next Friday for the Guthrie men show in Bridgeport, CT. I hope Arlo performs some new songs that night . I am anxious to hear them and also looking forward to the new CD in October YIPPIE!!

Da boys did a great job in Empire. So cool to see the three of them up there together Had to get used to them after the solo tour...but didn't take long.

I'm so thrilled cuz I hit the jackpot today! Looking for tickets for Crystal Lake, Il in Oct and there was this one, lone ticket available - I swear it had my name on it - right smack in the middle of first row! I couldn't get my credit card out fast enought! My kids think it's strange that I just bought the one. I'm a big girl - I can sit alone! Anyway, it's just Arlo and me when he steps on the stage.

And the new CD will be out...what a bonus!

Arlo Guthrie performed all of Alice's Restaurant Massacree last night in the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - all "27 8-by-10 color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one" of it.

The epic song, which cemented his fame and allowed him to get a pass on the burden of being Woody Guthrie's son, also has dogged him. As a result, he has performed it irregularly over the years.

But last night seemed a good time to put it back into circulation, even if he delivered it with just a few well-placed updates and seemed to temper its anachronism with self-knowledge and a winning sense of humor. It remains a prime example of the unexamined nostalgia that now would seem to be his bread and butter but also his biggest artistic limitation.

He did it and moved on without flinching.

A still-hilarious yarn that felt like home, it nonetheless was far from the highlight of a skillful set that displayed Guthrie's terrific voice and abundant sense of humor.

Without trying very hard or relying on his father's legacy, Guthrie displayed his natural gift as a songwriter and cultural commentator.

"Songwritin's more like fishin'," Guthrie said. "Every once in a while a song swims by." You just have to be ready to hook it, he said, before someone like Bob Dylan does, adding that you don't want to be downstream from Dylan. Then he delivered an inspired take of his own Darkest Hour.

The Dylan remark was interesting, not just because as Woody's son, he knows the man well, but because he delivered several songs last night with a froggy soul that today typifies Dylan.

Elsewhere though, Guthrie, with the aid of his son on keyboards and grandson on drums, performed a mix of traditional material such as In the Shade of the Old Apple Tree and St. James Infirmary and originals including Coming Into Los Angeles and Motorcycle Song with strong, rich vocals and eloquent yet simple guitar playing.

His sometimes-rambling stage patter contributed to the warmth of the concert: Sandwiched into his closing performance of his dad's famed This Land Is Your Land, it was inspirational.

And would also need a ride if anyone is coming 15 miles south of Lowell right off 495.
