The Roanoke concert was terrific - The Mammals, that folkslinger, and a very appreicative audience, and it was great to meet up after the show. I can agree with a post in another thread on Roanoke - we don't like to crowd adg's space too much, but it would be magic to share a few Guinesses and a couple of hours chat.

We didn't get to eat at the Texas Tavern. When the taxi dropped our group of 6 there he said "Good Luck". We soon figured what he meant - the sign says they can feed thousands, but only 10 at a time, and the 10 stools were aready taken! We had a top meal just around the corner at Angler's Cafe.

We're back home now - the journey from Nashville to home via L.A. took 30 hrs, including a 4hr diversion for fog when we were only an hour from Brisbane. But we had a few giggles along the way - having to negotiate all those time tunnels and trying to avoid the detector Beagles

Glad you had a good trip & made it back home safe. Sorry you didn't get to eat at Texas Tavern. It was good. Going late at must've been the best time to hit it cuz there were only 2 other folks in there. A guy reading a book & a guy who came in there & said he'd just been drinking at a nearby bar & got himself 5 bowls of chili lol. He said he wife could cook & that's why he divorced her lol...
