Hello all!...Ronda & I attended Arlo & Family's concert in Bloomington IN last Sat. It was a great show as always!! It was a general seating venue (less than 500 seats!), so we waited outside about an hour & 1/2 before doors opened at 7:00. We were 11 & 12th in line, so that got us 2nd row center. Awesome!!
We met a really nice couple 9 & 10 while waiting. We passed the time quickly talking about Arlo & Dylan & whoever else concerts we'd been to over the years. I really wish I'd gotten their names & e-mail, but I didn't. If one of you happen to read this, please write me. We were the couple from Kokomo in line behind you. You remarked that you'd seen my post about waiting in line in lawn chairs & that we'd seen the show in Lexington in March....It would be nice to keep in touch, as we don't really know any big time Arlo fans besides ourselves.
Oh yes....I did get the 8/10 pic. of Arlo & myself autographed. Wasn't he & Sarah Lee so kind to spend time after the concert!?...Arlo parked his bus right in front of the theater where we were waiting, and at one point, stepped out & said hello to everyone before taking off for a walk around downtown Bloomington.....Just a regular guy.
When we were picking up our tickets in the front office earlier that afternoon, a guy stoppen in and said, "I'm with John Mellencamp & John would like to come to the show tonight, as he & Arlo are good friends."....Wow!!...See, John lives near by in a small town. Anyhow, when the lights went up for intermission, there he was with his wife, about 6 rows behind us!...The cool thing was, no-one was pestering him or asking for autographs. They just let him be & relax enjoy the show. I thought that was really considerate of the folks around him. CLASS ACT BLOOMINGTON!!....
Anyhow....It was a really great evening. If you were there, I'd like to hear your magical experience of the evening. Seems there's always a little magic in the air, when Arlo's there......And I hope to hear from the friends we met in line that night!.....See ya's!
