Thanks Cher.

Yea, $8.50 for a front row seat as close as I'm sitting to my monitor right now. Can you say intimate?

"July 10 - 16 Newport Folk Festival, Newport, RI"

Was this Arlo's "debut" at the festival, the one where he sang Alice's Restaurant? Is there any footage of it available on youtube or some such place? I would love to see it.

A great snowy day trying to chronicle all the arlo show's I've attended. I saved some pictures, ads, tickets stubs to help piece the journey together...but there are a lot of shows with question marks. I know I was there...but just can't remember the details. Sorry that the shows aren't in order...I tried to be sequential, but I'm abstract random at heart.

Peace
Pete

Found another one -

1991/ June 5 / Wed 7:30pm / with Pete

Main Floor Row K Center Seat 111

Looks like my last post from 1968 is one of the oldest other than what Arlo has posted. Do I win the 'oldie but goodie' award?

I have a friend who remembers Arlo playing in Chicago at either Quiet Knight or Poor Richards. John Prime and Steve Goodman would hang around, too. He was good friends with Steve and his family at the time.

It was Pete and Arlo, I was 18, and that was the first (but not last) time I saw them together (or apart). The ticket was $7 and I and a friend went together; we hung around the side entrance afterward and both P&A came outside to talk to everybody waiting for a few minutes and sign our ticket stubs. That's the only ticket stub I've kept, so that's the only date I can verify, but they played in the DC area (more often at Wolf Trap than Merriweather) every summer for many years.

Wow!
And here's lil ol me who has never been to even one!

It's like posting among Royalty! :)

In fact, only been to 4 concerts in my 40 someodd years. The players were all hell & gone from Arlo. I mean come'on, Olivia Newton John ? Before Grease??? Guess who opened for her? Paul Williams ! You may know him as Little Enos Burdette of Smokey & The Bandit fame. To me, he will always be the lil guy that drove the Gravy Train wagon on the dog food commercials of old. (sry...it was his joke...not mine)

I'll get there someday, Arlo ! Until then, I have chosen to live vicariously through these fine folks! 8)

I beleive the first time I saw Arlo was January 1982 (sorry don't know the exact date) at Toad's Place in New Haven CT

also saw him March 18th 1982 at Toad's Place in Waterbury CT (that Toad's is no longer in exsistance)

then again on July 14th 1982 at Oakdale Musical Theater in Wallingford CT, at the time Oakdale was a small in the round venue and is now the Cheverolet theater.

Arlo also did a show at the Berkshire theatre Festival on August 22, 1983.
I did not go to that show but I have one of the posters advertising the concert.

I just went and looked at some of my newspaper clippings that I had saved in the 80's and found a date for the palace theatre in New Haven CT for May 1st 1986
and a benefit concert at Woody's roadhouse for July 14th 1985 where 5,000 dollars was raised to benefit David Carron
