Hello to the forums and the site. I had to look it up after attending the show in Roanoke last night. It was a wonderful show. Hard to tell how much I enjoyed it. Of course it was funny and witty, but Iwas truly impressed by the music. Some absolutely beautiful songs which I am already looking for. The mix of instruments and voices was outstanding.What is the "Green, Green Road" song? And being able to tour with your family......hard to beat. Sarah Lee was wonderful, especially like the ...in leau of flowers song and the Rt 81 song. Anybody record this show?? Or does anyone have any tapes or cdr stuff from this fall's tour?????

I can't believe I have not registered here before this. The show in Roanoke was such a delight. I was able to introduce several friends to the sounds and stories of Arlo (I didn't even have to buy their tickets!). My only complaint goes out to Roanoke. The place should have been sold out. If they only knew what they missed. Roanoke has a history of not making too many people aware of what is going on in this wonderful city. But hey, those of us that were forunate enough to see the show will let everyone know what they missed. I enjoyed every minute of it. His music is so nice to hear and the live performances are truely a thing to remember - even though he may not remember them. And many thanks to Arlo, for not playing "freebird"!!!

I too had a great time at Roanoke. The security there at the Civic Center sucked. They were such nosebleeds. I wrote about it in this topic here:

A guy we talked to before the show told us how awful & picky the security was. I wonder if that kept attendance down. Gotta send out kudos to WDBJ ch 7 in Roanoke for promoting the show & interviewing Arlo & having it on their news. Now that was a real news story! Glad ya'll had a nice time at the show. We would've loved to have met ya'll. I hope he comes back there again. He never goes to Roanoke...

I too had a good time at the show. I took a friend with me who had never seen Arlo before (a new victim), he loved it. He got a big kick out of the stories, especially the one about Joseph. When Sarah Lee told the audience she and Johnny lived in Columbia, SC some idiot yelled out "Go Gamecocks" (the USC mascot). I just want to make sure everyone knows it wasn't me, it was a different idiot, sitting three seats from me. I also agree with Cheryl's opinion of the staff at the Roanoke Civic Center.

Don't worry I didn't think that was you. I didn't know USC's team was called the Gamecocks. It was nice seeing you & your friend there. It's good to see folks introducing Arlo to others. I made up 2 wallpapers of Arlo from some of the pics I took at Staunton & Roanoke... Here they are:
