Torrington was great! The Warner Theater is such a wonderful old theater. There was a good crowd there, all really into the show, and so were Arlo, Gordon, and Abe. Love the new song, "Back By Popular Demand". I'm glad someone else kept a set list besides me. I mean, I kept one, but I haven't checked yet to see if I can actually read it. It's getting harder and harder these days to write legibly in the dark....or in the light for that matter. One of the funniest things that happened Saturday night happened outside the theater before the show, where Gordon was standing around, and somebody came up to him and asked him if he wanted to buy a ticket to the show! Gordon said something like, "No, thanks. I think I'm all set", and went into the theater while I laughed my head off. I never told the guy why I was laughing.

so like, did the guy who was trying to sell the ticket actually see the show?

I have no idea if he saw the show. Hopefully if he did, he recognized Gordon as someone he tryed to scalp a ticket to. I would have loved to have seen his face then!

It was such a great show. As much as I enjoyed seeing Pete, The Weavers, Peter Paul and Mary and all the others at Carnegie Hall in December; this show, with mostly Arlo, was heavenly. I looked for you, Judy, but it's hard to remember a face from a photo that you only got to see briefly. The Warner certainly is a beautiful theater. And for once, the directions we got from Mapquest were right on target. We got there way early and were able to park on the street right in front of the theater. We walked around the town of Torrington for a bit and saw what we feel sure must be Arlo's bus behind the theater. After a bite to eat in one of the local restaurants, we still arrived at the theater with lots of time to spare. That was okay, because it's always fun to mingle with the crowd before the show and soak up the excitement and anticipation. One of my favorite parts of the show was the encore "Forgetting Alice". I loved the roar of appreciation that went through the crowd when Arlo announced, "Next year will be the 40th anniversary of the day we took out the garbage."

Hey, Andrea, send me an email. We should hook up. You know that "Forgetting Alice's" incident happened here at the Garde in New London a couple years ago.

I agree - The Torrington show was excellent! We first saw Arlo last year here in Woodstock CT at the Hyde School. (FYI it was the first time that organization had sold out this venue). I went home and immediately checked the web site and planned to see him again this year. I only wish I could have gotten a closer seat this time... looking forward to the 40th anniversary of "the story of the garbage"! I'll send in earlier for tickets!
How does he make you feel like you are sitting in his living room, just hanging out? Awesome.

Being another Connecticut person, I wanted to get to the Warner to
see Arlo, but had other pressing issues. My daughter's first exposure
to "Uncle Arlo" was at the Warner probably about 14 years or so ago.

But the good part is that I just booked a flight to Florida on Memorial Day
weekend to see his show in White Springs. Its about 50 miles from
Gainesville where she lives and attends University of Florida. She
invited her boyfriends whole family and they are very excited about
going. I think we'll have a great get-together there with 9 or so of
us attending, a nice family reunion.
