Just wanted to check in with my take on the concert last night here in Charlotte, NC: It was just about the best concert I've ever been to, Arlo or otherwise! There was so much new material as well as material that I had not heard Arlo do before in previous concerts, but more than that, the energy was very high, the music was beautiful, I loved hearing Sarah and Johnny and Gordon for the first time, Abe had this gorgeous smile on his face... even the drummer (Arlo mentioned his name several times but I'm soo bad with names, sorry) was great. And of course Arlo -- he connects with with us all so warmly, and he was on a roll last night. I so much appreciate the gift that all these performers gave last night; they were not just performing, they were putting their all into what they were doing, truly present to us, welcoming us in...
I'd list some of the things they played but don't want to spoil the surprise of it for the near-future concertgoers...

Shorty, glad you had such a great time, and that Bob posted a setlist and "ruined it" for everyone :)

Bob, I don't even think Arlo knows how to spell that song's title, otherwise maybe he would have corrected all the previous posts.

I felt like I was right there with you guys. What a great venue! I'll be seeing Arlo with "the kids" on July 10th in Maryland at an outdoor festival. Maybe Cindy will join us.

I'm glad Arlo did a complete show after SarahLee and Johnny's set. And a few songs I've never heard him do... which considering around 100 shows or more, amazing! Can't wait until July.

He made it to Charlotte? Now I know why he's not here in Nags Head LOL! He did Me and Bobby McGee? I've never heard him do that one before. Please do that one at Hampton Ar! :) Figures I'd miss a new song at Charlotte. Thanks for the nice set list. Sounds similar to Durham... I didn't notice his sock color there but I did notice what he wore-- black pants or jeans with a black Hawian shirt with white flowers on it. White socks, then ya'll must've seen an Arlo clone. <g> I must be psychic cuz I figured Baldwinville would be there. :) I''ll let Terrie have my place in front row in MD as we won't be going cuz it's right after 2 days worth of shows at Hampton Shame cuz Brian Bowers the autoharp guy is gonna be there too & it'd be nice to check him out too as well as seeing ADG. Glad ya'll had fun in Charlotte...

Arlo's concert at Charlotte on the 22nd was my first Arlo concert ever. After seeing it and seeing him in person it will not be my last. The air conditioner was broke in the theatre but Arlo was burning up the stage (especially with his version of Me and Bobby McGee) Thanks arlo for the 3rd best experience in this 22 year old's life.....peace

Just like it sounds.....here's my guess------Haleiwa (pronounced hah-lay-EE-vah) is located in Honolulu County on the northwestern coast of Oahu Island, between Wahiawa and Waimea - Oahu along Highway 83 on the banks of the Opaeula Stream near Waialua - Oahu, Mokuleia, and Kaiaka & Wailua Bays.

Mark, last year (or even earlier) I saw the spelling for that song/town but somehow it just didn't stick in my brain. I have no idea why I would have known it in the first place. I tried various variations of it each time I posted it in a setlist, never hitting on the right spelling. Thanks! Now I can go back in my "spare time" and edit it everytime I wrote it.
