We were treated to an awesome evening of music and entertainment last week in Harrisonburg, Va on the campus of James Madison University. What a beautiful place indeed!

We traveled up from southern South Carolina (9 hours) and family from West Virginia came to meet us to see Arlo perform. (Persistent calls to box office paid off and we were rewarded with row one and two!!)

Arlo played most of the songs we heard in Hilton Head, SC back in May but were treated this time to " Mr. Tanbourine Man," an oldie from Mr. Dylan. He also played a song from the past that you might have heard....." Alice's Restaurant." Yes, that's right!!! He actually did play some of it--he skipped through some parts and told the story of his wonderful daughter practicing "Alice." The torch has been passed, he said. It brought much of the crowd to their feet.

One of my favorites was played....and it was his last of the night, "Last Train."

I also had the chance to meet fellow Arlo fan Cheryl Harrell, and her husband. (Hi Cheryl!!!)

What a wonderful night it was learning more about the 'folk process.'
It was neat treating my parents and friends to Arlo's music. They were truly in music heaven.
