I'd like to first apologize for the double post. I didn't know where to put this.

I am taking my daughter who will be 3 soon and my son who will be 5 months old at the time I take them to the show at Touhill PAC in St. Louis, MO. My daughter is a huge fan and I was trying to contact someone regarding the possibility about getting Arlo to autograph a poster for my kids. I did email Dave Downin and I hope he has some advice but I was thinking someone out there might have some advice. My daughter got and autograph and a photo with David Grisman and it made her day. I'm just hoping I can find a way to make it happen with Arlo. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Justin

HI Justin! Welcome to ArloNet!

I know it's hard to know, when you first get to a site, where the best place to post is.... and it's even harder right now, because some of our forums have disappeared!

Arlo is generally very accessible, and depending on the venue where you will be bringing your daughter, you'll probably be able to catch him after the show. He often does a 'meet and greet' in an area set aside for that purpose..... or if that doesn't seem to be happening, you might want to look for the tour bus ... though sometimes that's not always easy. Maybe you want to call the venue, and ask them if a meet and greet is in the plans....

Much good luck, and welcome to you and your little ones!

Thanks so much for the advice. I love it when people take a few moments of their time to be accessable because people don't forget memories like meeting Arlo!!

Thanks again

I certainly will NEVER forget the first time I met Arlo :D so I know where you're coming from!! I really don't see it as a BIG problem. Everytime I've seen him, he is more than willing and kind enough to autograph almost anything. I think he'd really enjoy signing a poster for your children.
Welcome to the site and maybe after the show, you could post a setlist!! I'm sure we would all like to read about the show and what he played!! :)

absolutely, and I hope I can post a photo of Arlo with my 2 kids. Does he just generally hang out after the show and sign a few autographs near the stage. That is what david grisman was like.

I am one of those people that likes to have things planned out and already set. I'm afraid if I don't get permission before the show I stand the chance missing the chance of missing the opportunity for my kids.

I do appreciate all the help from all of you and this is the nicest forum I've ever seen.

If anyone else has any suggestions please feel free to pass along.

Thanks,
Justin

IMHO, Arlo is your best contact person. After the show, unless there's some big thing, like world peace breaking out, you should be able to see him. And if world peace should break out, your chances might even get better.
Edited to say: Best of luck!

hi justin, welcome to arlo net.

Don't fret, generally arlo does meet & greet at most of his shows... the only thing to really find out will be WHERE... hard to plan for it, since it's really up to Arlo for the most part, and up to the venue probably to some small degree... and arlo will try not to disappoint anyone who is waiting on him... so bring the kids, the poster, your camera, a pen, and your patience and understanding.
Oh yeah, enjoy the show, that's what you really are going for, right??

and cea... I agree... if world peace should break out, who knows what adg might do at a show?

btw - justin I'm deleting your duplicate post in the Technical forum. Sorry about the missing forums, but we're still waiting on our wizard Dave to restore them...
Arnie
