Saw Arlo Thursday night - small venue (high school performing arts center). Great show - warm reception. The setlist was pretty much the same as in Victoria and Vancouver, except he didn't do Me and Bobby McGee or Alice's Restaurant. He did say that he was working on Alice's Restaurant, so he probably would be performing it in the next couple years! He did two songs for the encore - one was an instrumental, and I can't remember what the other one was...
I thought he and Abe and Gordon Titcomb were great - what fine musicians. And Arlo has such a great sense of humor. I was glad to hear him talk so much about Woody - and Bob Dylan - and Darroll Adams, who I had never heard of. So impressed with what he said about him, that I bought Banjoman during the intermission and have been listening to it ever since.
Would love to hear other peoples' observations about this show or others -
