Nanc - thanks for getting me a ticket to the show...and then getting me anyway in when I lost it. uh, Sorry I sorta got you left at the gig.. . Dinner was excellent! Better than Unicorns!!! We got home with no problems. (at 6 a.m. - The Beagle was ticked!!)

Had a ball - so many laughs!!!

After a 6 month hiatus it was so good to heard a live concert instead of albums!! The boys looked great and gave their 'all' for a wonderful show!! Hope Arlo continues to sport the sunflower - it becomes him!!!

Regina, it was a blast and a half and Wilmington will probably be two blasts, it was unreal and dinner was a scream!!

Hi everyone,

I just joined this site. I was at the concert on Saturday and it was just wonderful. Thank God Alro is still touring. Great set, wonderful playing and I got so excited I bought 4 Cds that I didn't have and then found this site.


I just got tickets for his performance at the Newport, RI Folk Festival.

I met Arlo many moons ago in FL on a July 4 party at a hotel I was staying at. I was on the road with a band, (I'm a musician) and Arlo got up on stage with us and played a bunch of songs. I was really excited and of course, asked him if he wanted to do "Alice's Restaurant". Arlo said", No man, that's too long!"

So great to find this site and Saturday's concert was one of the best I have been in a very very long time!!!! Thanks for posting the set list!

It's a yellow Gerbera daisy with a black center..they grow that way.
Sorry...it's just the florist in me coming out..
There are small sunflowers available now, tho...but most of 'em have stems too huge and fleshy (and eventually, mushy!) to pin on someone...it would have to involve wire and floral tape.
There IS a variety of mum that sort of look like sunflowers ; they're called Viking poms. They make people smile!

I loved the flower he had on. Gotta have to get me one and a put it on!

Hi - The flower was about the size of a gerbera daisy - maybe a bit bigger, (But Sue is right...it was not big enough to be your basic sunflower!!) It had multiple layers -all silk or silk like material... It was a combination of flowers...cause it wasn't real - So it could be whatever you wanted it to be. It was a very nice shade of yellow and it did make the evening more playful. Nice idea.

Sue you are so dead right on! I consider myself a conaseur of the Sunflower, and pinning one on one's lepal would be like pure lead....


The smaller variety 'Teddy Bears' are small enough for such, but sunflowers just don't do well without water. e.p. they hardly hold up in a vase for that long.

Your probley thinking of a Black eyed susan cross with a daisy>???
