Other than having no idea how to actually enter the parking lot that only had one-way (wrong way) signs, and all the streets around the theater were also one-way (wrong way), I finally learned my way around the city.

Saw Arlo and Mike outside the theater hours before the show and Arlo was wearing his (new) signature yellow flower on black jacket. Abe and Tammy were in the lobby setting up the t-shirt/cd table. Gordon came in and chatted for a few minutes. His CD wasn't available yet, but he thinks (hopes) that he'll have copies available this weekend at The Church. Security here is the extreme opposite of the Keswick!

Finally caught up with Sue (thank goodness for cellphones) and she, Eric and I walked a few blocks to a sandwich shop for dinner. For a review of the restaurant, email me so it can be "private" as I don't want to get sued.

As always, this was a show that couldn't be beat. I think I say that after every Arlo show, don't I? This long-awaited show couldn't have come at a better time for me, and he sang a few songs I hadn't heard in awhile. Ocean Crossing made me cry, tears running down my cheeks... great job, I loved it! And Sing Me Back Home was a pleasant surprise. His stories are funny no matter how many times I hear them, there's always something new... a new twist or a new facial expression.

Intermission seemed to be too short as we ran into folks we didn't know were there... so we were having mini-reunions.

There were some sound problems, especially during Abe's part in Coming into LA. But I hardly noticed, as it just didn't matter.... I always feel like it's a magical night when Arlo, Abe and Gordon are on stage. They could hum for all I care... I'd love it anyway. I must agree with all Terrie said! Including some disappointment at the sound loss but hey, technology! The sound was all in all quite lovely. This was my first Gordon experience and I must say it was most effective. THanks Arlo and cast of characters for brightening my life!

I was at the Harrisburg show too and loved it, as usual! Thanks for posting the song list. That is so nice to have. It was great to hear the new songs. I loved them! Are they recorded yet? or is that CD still in the making?

I have only been going to Arlo's shows for about 5 years now so I heard some new stories that night and I agree.... I loved hearing the old stories again as well. Especially about seat C36... except this time it was C36C.... was it a seat or a bra? Or is that how he always tells the story and I just am now wondering about that seat number?

Anyway... I saw some people talking to Abe and hanging out and I almost asked if you post on ArloNet. It would have been nice to meet you. Next time I will ask! I met someone there who gave me directions to The Church.... Every route number I needed so I have no excuses for not getting there one of these days.

I wasn't sure if that was the St Louis Tickle, But could have been! Sounded like a different Raggedy Jazz Song to me but it was still very enjoyable!!!

He played one of those ragtime songs at the Strathmore the night before. I think it was Scott Joplin's "Maple Leaf Rag". I thought he had recorded that song but can't seem to find it in the discography.

Maple Leaf does sound like what he was playing while avoiding playing Beethoven in his story.

I'm really glad to see that he played Popular Demand. He needs to release that song so the rest of the world can get that feeling I get when I listen to it!
