Long, incredibly terrific weekend, in spite of the wet weather. Just got back to the motel, am exhausted. Have a setlist, will post either Monday morning or after I get home. Suffice it to say that Arlo's great as always, and Gordon's newly released CD is gonna be a BIG hit! Tonight we got to hear Gordon sing one of his own songs from his CD and it was fabulous! Abe's just adorable and Terry a la Berry and David Grover joined their old friends on stage for a terrific Church show. All proceeds from tonight's concert went toward the HD Walkathon funds.

Were those boys on stage at the church last night having fun, or what!! Great show!! Great time!!! Great music, shared with friends!!! I just love to hear and see Arlo and everyone jam together!!! And the audience was pretty good, too!

I didn't keep a set list, 'cos I was having too much fun just being there, but I remember Black Mountain Rag, which is usually an encore, was played early, I think about the third song, so that really got things rolling, and Oklahoma Hills...Oh, and Arlo sang Ocean Crossing in the second set, I believe right after Slow Boat, but I could be wrong, or confused, 'cos I saw his show in Fairfield, CT Saturday night, and he didn't sing the verse that starts "Put on your heavenly shoes, Babe", and always makes me thing of these purple ankle boots that Shirley gave me once 'cos they didn't fit her right. He just played the piano while I sang it in my head.....And of course there were the great stories about traveling in Australia and how Gordon had his brand new unstrung mandolin strings confiscated at the airport when they checked out his mandolin case in security--I could tell you why, but that would spoil it for everyone out there who hasn't heard it yet....And then of course, there was the story of Joseph, you know, Joe with the coat, which gets funnier every time I hear it.....

Well, my buddy John kept a set list. which I'm sure he will post in due time..... 24 songs he counted.
Arlo and the band were in fine form, and the sound system in the church was as clear as I've heard it in a long time. Sounded great. Like I said, I'll let John post the set-list.

The walk was wet, and not as well attended as last year I assume due to the rain, but we made it. And none of us got lost........which is no small feat considering many of were being led by, and leading other blunderites. But there was some anonymous guy at one of the street corners pointing and saying "they went that way".( I wonder if it's THE SAME guy, if so, he's been around for somtime now, and he gets around too)

I did my best to help wyldflower burn down the kitchen when she wasn't hugging stuff or sending me to the supermarket.(breakfast was a trip!)

The new espresso machine that I think may have been donated by NASA to the church , made as many quizzled faces as it did cups of joe......I think.

Terrie and Lance's son Michael is one heck of a car parker.

Like Judy, I was having so much fun I almost forgot to keep a setlist; as he started hs first song I remembered I needed paper, so I found a paper plate! Then someone decided to use my paper plate to add up her sales from the kitchen, so it was back for another plate... what a fun night!

I also recall him missing a verse in a song, probably Ocean Crossing. Larry and John came up Saturday. So did GrandpaSteve. Lance and I did some gardening and mulching in the front gardens, Sue's flowers were gorgeous and someone added a pair of boots with flowers in them, along with a pencil... no one I spoke with knew why... so if someone knows anything about that, would you please let us know? I never did find out why, but Gay Lynch wasn't there... I hope she's ok.

The morning of The Walk, Arlo came in and took a breakfast plate but couldn't find anywhere to sit, so guess where he ended up? Sitting at "The Table" in the kitchen. Of course it didn't take too long for people outside to notice, so the cameras came out (mine included, but I was in the kitchen so the view is just slightly different).

Did I mention in my earlier post that Terry ala Berry and David Grover were there?

Go to the Arlo show nearest you and buy Gordon's CD.... NOW, kid!

WOW!! What a FANTASTIC time at the Church!! It looks MORE beautiful every time I go!! Wasn't that quilt hanging up absolutely beautiful?? A quilt was made (I believe) by folks who had lost someone to HD. I'm glad there wasn't a raffle for that because it's hanging where it should be. What a wonderful concert .. all 5 (Arlo, Abe, David, Gordon and Terry) of them seemed SO happy to be there together. Like Terri said, Gordon did one of his songs (The Last Train) from his NEW CD (which I bought and had Gordon autograph). I listened to that CD all the way home ... over and over. It's a GREAT CD!! I was too happy to find the time to write down a setlist but I knew SOMEONE would!! It was so nice to see some friends again. My daughter. Gretchen, came with me and acted like the paparotzie (screwed up THAT spelling for sure!) She was taking pictures and more pictures. She even got in fast and we were FRONT ROW -- couldn't be any closer. She videoed the entire show for her Arlofanatic Mom (me) and dad who wasn't able to join us this time. Haven't had a chance to see how the tape got, yet!! At any rate, her heart was in it. She and I were talking to Arlo outside. I asked him what kind of flower he had but he told me "How do I know? Do I look like a horticulturist?" That set my daughter off. She later told me it was "NEAT to talk to Arlo. He's like A REAL person, Mom!" THe story of Joseph just keeps getting funnier each time I hear it ... and longer!! Sounds familiar, doesn't it??

The walk was great, too. We were scooping out yummy ice cream at mile 4. Too bad it was rainy or I'm sure many more would have shown up. Nice breakfast and lunch, too!! Whoever made those peace cookies, they were GREAT!!

I've had my Arlo fix satisfied for now .. but not for long!!

Agent 32 signing off! BTW. Arlo autographed my Agent 32 card ... guess now it's official!!

Thanks Arlo, Abe, Gordon, David and Terry for a memorable, wonderful show!! I have a feeling I made a scene because at some points, I got the giggles and couldn't stop!!! Oh well .. I was having FUN!!!

Thanks for the info John!! I can't have them (I'm a type 2 diabetic) but Gretchen LOVED it. I bought some to bring home to my husband and other daughter and their only response was, "Is this all you brought??" So, THANKS to WYLD!!!!
