last minute appeal (okay, I may not be as appealing as you might like, but you're stuck with me...)
I still have some tix for tonight's show in Oyster Bay, LI.
Send me an email if you will be in the area, and would like to attend.

Those who know me, know this is my usual state of affairs...

(but I will be at the show tonight)

okay, couldn't make a go of getting the tickets into someones hands, but that's alright. Tons of people came to sit under the stars last night on a beautiful lawn (some under an open-air tent) to hear arlo and the Mammals and Sarah & Johnny do their thing. I mean a BIG crowd.
I was volunteering last night in "Artist hospitality", so I was privy to some background conversations, one of which was marveling at the size of the crowd... especially for someone who "many of the volunteers didn't even know" but they were really talking about the Mammals it turns out. I had to keep explaining who every one of those 'kids' were...
The show was great, Sarah & Johnny opened to an enthusiastic crowd, and then the Mammals really kicked it up. What energy, and especially, what pure joy they radiate!
Then arlo came out after intermission. I don't keep set lists, I sit and listen and enjoy...
My comments - the lights were very hot for the folks up on stage, the night turned a little humid, and i think that may have scrambled arlo's concentration a bit
(arlo, was it me or did CONO have some modified stanza's?

No matter... arlo's vocals sounded better than I've heard him the past few times, and he also seemed to have a good amount of energy... he did plow right through Alice's, but I think the heat was an inspiration.
A great night, a really great concert, and even better is that I found Pat early in the evening, and got to sit with her and her sister for most of the show!
Note to Rabbit - if you were under the tent last night, we couldn't find you! Sorry!

Arnie, it was great to see you. It was a great show, too. Every part sounded great. Arlo was fantastic, although hot, and so were Sarah Lee and Johnny, The Mammals and Gordon. The lights were too hot, but the sound system was excellent.

There was also a great new t-shirt. We didn't get one. They were sold out by intermission. He who hesitates doesn't get a shirt!
