Hey ya'll!

I just got back from the show about ten minutes ago. WOW! It was my first Arlo show and I could not have asked for anything better. The Mammals were amazing, too! I really hope to see them again sometime, as well as Arlo.

Oh, and I have good news! I asked a friend of mine to tape the show (Thanks Geordy!). Hopefully he got a good pull, he was in a great postiion to. He also recorded the Mammals set. Watch trader's forum for a link to download once its ready. Also, I will offer up a B&P once Geordy is done with the show.

Here's Arlo's setlist. I'm not sure what the 1st song was, and I didn't start writing till Comin' into Los Angeles, so there might be one song missing. We'll find out once the recording is done, though, so its all good.

Yeah, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Thats cool, too, because you know that quite a few of them were just there to hear Alice's Restaurant. Hopefully they'll fall in love with some of Arlo's other music!

Oh, and to clarify: it is an audio recording, not video(I wish it was video!) When I said he was in a good positioin, I just meant on the left and close, near a speaker stack, which is the ideal place for audio recording.

And there was one more song. I'm pretty sure it came before When a Soldier Makes it Home, but it might have come after. I'm not sure what it was...he said it was one of his favorite New Orleans songs, though.

never posted here before but... i was also at this show last night... and of all the shows i have been to this year (and there have been many), this one is probably my absolute favorite!! i had never seen arlo before, and i am sooooo happy that he came to UT and i got the chance of my lifetime to see him perform. i knew most of the songs he did, and sang (and cried) along with many of them. i'm very excited to hear that there was a taper there (was it my imagination or was there also someone there w/ a video cam far stage right?), i would be extremely interested in getting a copy of this show (looks like bit torrent is the way these things usually circulate yes?)... he told such wonderful stories last night! you know, i have long believed that there are just some people on this earth who carry a very bright light inside them - and aren't afraid to let it shine... after watching him on stage last night, i am convinced that arlo guthrie is one of those people.

I assume you're talking about the guy video taping from the tripod on the far right? If so, he was taping for WVLT, and I don't believe he taped the whole thing...if you're talking about someone else, then maybe we'll get a fan video. That would be awesome.

Don’t remember off the top of my head.

My wife and I where very down and out as a kitten we rescued this summer is tentatively diagnosed with FIP which is usually fatal and can be very contagious. Which puts our small herd of rescued critters at risk. The good news is usually only 5% get the fatal version. We started not to go. However we are both glad we did even though we could not fully enjoy the show as our hearts where heavy it did provide some needed healing. Arlo does indeed have a light shining out of him and made us smile and laugh despite wanting to cry.

Back to the subject of the forgotten song, if it comes to me I will post you or PM you

I took my daughter to the Knoxville show last night too! Her boss told me I was showing my age-darn right I am-and proud of it! I didn't know what her reaction would be- but she loved it! The Mammals were great too! WE had a blast.

The first song was "Ridin Down the Canyon". I believe the instrumental before Coming into LA was "Honey, Don't Do This". BTW, I too would like a copy of this, my first but hopefully not last Arlo show.

I can't believe I'm saying this but...for those of you who are dying to relive the experience of the UT show, buy the "Live From Sidney" CD set. BUT... don't listen to it until a few days have passed since you saw ADG live.

any ideas when your taper friend might have this show in circulation? i know it's only been a week - but i've been seriously spoiled by etree! LOL! and if it's not going to be torrented, i would love to set up a b&p or a trade for it.

I really intended to keep ya'll updated, but I got busy with other things. I got the masters about a week ago. The sound quality is great, however, the volume is very, very low. Geordy was taping some shows from friday till yesterday. Hopefully, he and I will have it ready by sometime next week. I've done some work on it, but there is some diginoise...though, I don't know if we'll get rid of that.

Once its done it will be torrented, so if you can use torrent please do. I will also do B&Ps. Its a great show, and we'll get it out as soon as we can.
