Concord NH this afternoon

The show is at 3pm this afternoon. I'll post a review this week. Of course, given that I've seen Arlo about 17-18 times and never seen a bad show, I'm sure it will be great.

OK - just got back home. The first clue it was going to be a great afternoon was the sign on the door to the theater saying the show was sold out. This is a 1300 seat theater in the capital of NH.

The Mammals played first and received a good response from the crowd. Arlo, Abe, and Gordon played next. No surprises but a good set list that was very similar to the one for the Amherst show. The Mammals came out and played for about the second half of Arlo's set. Gordon's song, "Last Train" was great and received good audience response. "Alice", as always, was warmly received and earned Arlo his first standing ovation of the evening. "This Land Is Your Land" was the second. The final closer, after "City of New Orleans", was the Peace song. Another winner. All the talk I heard from others on the way out was very positive.

Now it's time for milk and a brownie.

Oh yeahThursday we gave a standing ovation after "Alice" at the Amherst show and My Peace was awesome to sing to, totally cowabunga dudes! 8)

Speaking of brownies when Arlo came out of the building I heard him asking once of the employees of the Fine Arts Center about what kind of a brownie as that? I do not remember if he ate a piece I was in my glory in the marshmallow clouds. I would feel very bad for him if he ate a hash brownie. :shock: The only person that deserves to eat that kind of brownie is that woman usher standing outside trying to tell us to get lost five minutes earlier before Arlo came outside :evil: She should have eaten it since she was on a PMS rampage..... I felt like telling that blow torch queen "Listen I was talking to the Mammals and I am standing here looking at and talking to an animal" :lol:......Midol for the idol! :lol:

Hey all...just got home from this afternnoons show...now its been about 20 years since i last saw him ... i think it was at the Valley Forge Music Fair outside of Phila...i first saw him 30 years ago...and guess what...it was a great show...so glad we drove down to see him...his father...Pete...dylan...and Arlo...well have been a part of my life for 40 years...and it was catching up with a good old friend...

Great concert...i just love him...

I would be nice if he did more 3 pm shows. Makes it more convenient to get back home afterwards instead of so late at nite... :)

Yes - my wife and I agree. We're at the age when it was nice to be home and dozing off at 8pm following a great show!

We wern't thinking of going to bed early as I am a night owl, it's just we were thinking of all that driving back home or to a motel at nite. I do get sleepy at 8 pm sometimes, falling asleep in front of the tv lol. How about doing more earlier shows Arlo? :)

I'm brand new here, but we were lucky enough to be at Sunday's show in Concord, NH and it was one of the best afternoons of my life :!: My husband even said it broughgt out the 'inner liberal' in him which, take my word for it, has been in hiding for too long now :)
