Hello Arlo fans!!...I'm new here, but an Arlo fan..I met Arlo 2/06 at "Rising Son Records" is Sebastion FL...I had been there on several occasions, hoping to get his autograph on my old vinal copy of 'Alices"...Anyhow..he was never there of course...
As a last resort, I had a package posted & addressed to myself & again took it to "RSR" in Sebastion....
I walken in on a really rainy Florida afternoon, & started to explain my situation with the posting & all...Then the gal who met me at the door say's, "God must be smiling on you!"...She motions arount the corner, & the next moment....I'm standing face to face with Arlo Guthrie!!!...
He was so kind!...We shook hands & introduced ourselves...I told him what an honor it was to meet him, he kinda shrugged it off...I explained that I had seen him at "Farm Aid" In Indianapolis in around 1990....My eyes wide & heart beating hard, remind you!!...As I didn't expect to find him there, much less so accomidating...
I reminded of a song he sang on that night so long ago, "When A Soldier Makes It Home"...a poinent tune in reference to the Viet Nam war...The look in his eye said so much...I could feel he still holds that pasion...
So....He asked if I wanted him to sign it to Mike (couldn't believe he remembered my name)..."
So on 3/10/06 in Lexington KY..My love & I saw the best concert of our lives...A 240 mile road trip...3rd row...Can't wait for the CD they made that week...Coming out by the end of the year I hear...The UK Symphony was awsome...
I can tell you lot's more if you want to hear it....It was a magic night with a few new songs that will be on the CD!!!....

Hey, I was there as well.....we stayed after and got autographs and pictures made with Arlo. He put on an awesome show...even though it wasnt the typical Arlo show- he only stopped a couple of times to tell stories...if I'm not mistaken this show will be available in about a year on cd.
