The Vanaver Caravan openned with excerpts from "Pastures Of Plenty; Woody Guthrie in Dance And Music." The Vanaver Caravan is made up of nine musicians/vocalists and a dozen dancers:

the only thing i can add to john's 'report' is that on the chorus of 'this land' the 80 kids on the risers who sang beautifully, also signed the lyrics so it added an additional dimension to the song/sound/feel etc.

the choreograpy of the vanever caravan is beautiful and brilliantly done....the piece 'dust storm disaster' brought tears to my eyes it was so moving.

it was also great to see nora and have a few minutes to catch up!

i loved the song sarah and johnny did, i'm really looking forward to seeing them at their own gig soon!

Love you, too John and all of you. It was a wonderful, different kind of show and a lovely time hanging out. West Point was different than I expected, too. Bigger, more beautiful and the cadets looked like..kids..how'd that happen? And we saw a rainbow, too. How cool was that?

Howdy folks! It appears from my e-mail that I have upset some folks about my jokative comment about Regina & Pat's hubby Bob not being at the gig. I honestly didn't know it would upset anyone. I have no idea why they weren't there, I was just making a funny joke & meant no harm. I really don't know the folks who weren't there & can't speculate as to why they weren't there.
