okay bear with me...it is that time of day again when i am thinking about food and what i will make for dinner and all the holiday in the air i start thinking about french music (?)...not that i am fixing anything french, not by miles, but went wondering what i would find in the way of the music...,anyway this sounded pretty good (or at least a little like something i was hearing in my head) so here is a little music for the holiday between holidays...

Have you seen "Julie and Julia" yet? Meryl Streep was terrific as Julia Child!

I just wish they'd do one with only Julia and Paul (Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci). After seeing the movie, I read Julia Child's autobiography, from which much of it was taken. It was so much more interesting--they used a good bit of it but left out so much good stuff that was taken up by the insipid story about Julie.

I didn't see this movie either and it’s too late now in the area where I am , but I think that the DVD should be available soon.
I'll try to see it,.......I like cooking!

A little bit of nostalgia...we lost Jerry Holland from cancer this year. I knew him; he was a favorite teacher for Cape Breton Fiddle classes during Celtic Week at Swannanoa Gathering, a summer music camp at Warren Wilson University in Asheville, NC. Great guy, and he always had a smile for you. This is one of his tunes.

I like the chocolate cake one too Eileen. Go carts is another favorite. In fact I think I like pretty much all of Cosby's stuff. The dentist visit one or the one where he explains how he and Russell thought their names were Jesus and Damnit. The Chicken Heart...

(I know it was a ways back time wise, but I've been away for awhile)

Oh - completely agree! ( is it just me or was Stanley Tucci to die for sexy as Paul?)
