Some odd Star Trek related similarities have come to my mind over the years:

A Klingon Bird of Prey warship looks remarkably similar to a Canada goose coming in for a landing.

The saucer section of the original Enterprise looks like the lid of a Presto brand pressure cooker.

Picking up the topic, cause I#ve seen the movie recently.

The Spock Uhura thing could easily be added because due to Spock's time switch the whole StarTrek story was altered. Now everything is possible for a new crew and new adventures. So not only another young classic StarTrek Movie is possible, but a new series as well. Plus the Spock - Uhura thing is kind of a weight opposing Kirks women-eating habbits As in my opinion Spock and Uhura are not well together. Both being strong characters as a couple they loose plausibleness as individuals.

As a whole the story was entertaining - for Trekkies. For everybody else the starship probably could have had any other name as well.

Yes, I always liked Scotty and Bones best, too.
