So, billy, your parole finally came through?
It must have been "be kind to serial songwriters" week at the slammer. Jeez, man, the next time you disappear like that, leave a damn note or something.

Where have I been? Good question. Nowhere really. Bad answer. I bought a used camper trailer in '00. Was planning a trip north with it that fall. The church concerts and all. (my god I'm turning into Holden Caufield). But as we well know the economy flattened that summer, gas prices soared and I couldn't afford to make the trip. Never quite recovered. Got burned out on the local music/tourist sceen so I just stopped playin'. Started a little antiques restoration business. That's going ok. Still writing and doing a little home recording. Wrote a whole album's worth of songs about NYC over the summer of '01. The day I was putting the finishing touches on it was 9/11. Never finished it. Can't listen to it. Just can't. Did a play last year. Tony And Tina's Wedding. Played Donny Dolce, the wedding singer. wore a Mike Brady wig and a bad tux. This year doing a rock n roll review called Anthem- Rock Celebration. I'm directing this one. Why don't you guys come down and see it. I can put you all to work as security and crew. But as for right now I'm blundering. I feel like a kid again. Or at least a svelt young vixen. I've got to get some new meds.

Billy, I hope you can listen to those songs soon. New York is recovering well, but can use all the songs it can get. Was thinking of you just about a week ago when we met up with friends and had a bite to eat at Cafe Figaro. Can't even pass that place without bringing you to mind. Anyway, I'd like to hear those songs sometime.

(howdy billy!!!)

well anyway <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

i understand what you're saying about the NYC CD and all...it's an entirely different context, but maybe now there's a third context you hadn't counted on...sorta like what pat was saying?

i'd love to see you in a play or something! (lord knows in blunderchat you could be pretty animated...and that's before they had pictures!)
i ain't been doing much gallivanting though...

i think the last time i saw you was in Virginia someplace, I loved hearing your stories!! (and your singing weren't too bad neither) <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15> ...and i think when i was at the church last was when you were there last also...you were wearing a black motorcycle jacket and i said i had one just like it, and you said something like, "This is your jacket, I just stole it." which UTTERLY confused me until finally I laughed like, oh yeah right--I get jokes.
anyway, it is good to see you...you svelte vixen you.

well,well...well. look what the cat drug in. glad to see your still ticking, licking, sticking uh...picking. you still living in your little cabin in the woods or are you a hazard on the newest fairway? this must really be a momentous homecoming cause this is my first post since your last post. it was 99 by the way. that was also the last time i made veggie chilli, although i'd be glad to burl up a pot if we get to see you. i know larry would join us if i leave the seeds out. we'd also let you park your new rig in our back yard. in fact why don't you do another tour. anyone else have a burning desire to have billy park in their backyard. we could call it the backyard parking, veggie chilli eatin, want to hear billy's new songs even if he don't feel like playing them yet tour. what a great t-shirt that will make. we'll even print up a couple of larges for mark. no kidding we would really like to seeyas. were heading for mass. in 2 weeks. maybe we could slide over to the right coast in a liberal kind of way on our way up. were doing things as liberally as possible lately. can't imagine why. sherry we'll be in mass.all summer on a secret mission. i'll be there every third week,so stop on by for some chilli. we missed you moochos, moochos, muchly. so stay in touch.

I think the world has been turned upside down. In fact the water in my toilet started spinning down the drain in the opposite direction, and I have heard similar reports from Australia.

Wow, BillyB seems as weird and strage as I am, but who knows maybe he is nice and that puts him in a whole other field.
For us, few, who know nothing of BillyB, how about a little Bio?

So where are you Billy and where is this play gonna be?

Wow......deb let Mark out and even let him use his own name! She must be getting soft. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Mike Brady wig Billy? <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/eek.gif" width=15 height=15> Last time I saw you, you were sportin' the Dr. Evil look! I mean that looks better than a dead poodle on your head, which I could never tell from a Mike Brady wig anyhow.

Nathen, Billy's a folkslinger and antique guy too, apparently. He's from South Carolina, if I recall correctly, by way of NYC and he also did a stint at the Stockbridge school that the other folkslinger went to. Billy's a few years younger, though, I think. He was a VIP (very important poster) on the old Blunderboard and a charter member in blat. A lot of us have gotten to see him perform at one time or another and we have at least one of his CDs. He gigged his way up to the church for the church shows and back at least once. He wrote Ken and Sherry a really lovely wedding song and played it at their wedding. My son accompanied him on violin. The lyrics are here: http://boullt.mybravenet.com/turn_to_me.htm

Then he disappeared. A little at a time, like the cheshire cat. And now, apparently, he's baaack.
