Well here it is, February 2010, and I'm hoping the Massacree doesn't rear its ugly head after all this time. I had to get my driver's license renewed last week, and I went ahead and transferred it to Alabama. Of course they asked if I have any criminal convictions...as in, did I go in front of a judge and be found guilty. Well I did go in front of a judge, and plead not guilty, and he and the prosecutor agreed to drop the charge with payment of court costs because I paid off the speeding ticket (I have a witness!) They told me in the courthouse that the charge was being dropped, but then there was that letter from the Florida DMV indicating that it wasn't. Anyway I told the man processing my renewal what they told me in court. And if it comes up, hey, they said they dropped it. I can only go by what they told me. The letter got lost a few days after I received it during a move in a time crunch, so no evidence that I know about the discrepancy. Not my fault that/if they lied to me.

Well it's been six years...I don't know how much impact it'll have now. Hope it doesn't pop up. If you all have any good juju to spare, please send it my way!
