@agnes: Ray Price? Wow. Hot Tuna. Cool. I wonder if Cassady is still playing the bass that Rick Turner rigged for him with the LEDs. Turner became the luthier to envy and his work on the DTAR Momma Bear pre-amp and acoustic guitar simulator is mind blowing and budget preserving. It's well worth it for the small studio owner.

@Larry: I think we may be related. "Woe to sheep, you dreary bonobo."

Don't let 'em harass you Agnes. Get righteous!

Oh The Yellow Robes of Buddha
Are the only robes for me
I look just like a gouda
And smell just like the cheese
When I sit my private parts go flapping in the breeze
Oh the Yellow Robes of Buddha
Are the only robes for me.

Oh the Yellow Robes of Buddha
Are the robes that I adore
The ones I had on last night
Got up. Walked out the door.
And starting bumming quarters
From my neighbors at the store
Oh the Yellow Robes of Buddha
Are the robes that I adore.

psb, i love you too!!

your comment made me smile! i didn't mean for what i said to sound like a negative reaction...i meant it in a lite hearted way. it sounds like a fun idea to me...around here anyway it seems no one does that anymore!

i noticed on the CODONA clip (which i thought sounded pretty cool!) it was in response to the icarus clip...i think that whole paul winter album (that wasn't paul winter in the clip but...) is pretty good! there is a song on it called minuit (which they sort of slip into the whole earth chant song) that i have tried to find a clip of to post but i could never find one...it is just a simple little song but i love it!

nice rock and roll medley!

fun with music:
sing along replacing "Jack, jack" with either "George Bush" or "Rush, Rush".

...i mean to say from my perspective at the moment, it seems to represent a kind of inner battle pretty good...and also a mildly effective way to poke a little fun at misery...

"agnes, i think you may be babbling."

I found an old Joseph Spence record in the basement (folkways I think was the label) and was remembering him grunting and whispering lyrics and stuff and went looking for Great Dream of Heaven and this came on my screen. I been trying to remember the name of the band John played in and it won't come? I remember he did all those albums with Stefan Grossman back when. What was the name of that band? Planxty was the Irish band (with Christy Moore) and _______was the English band with John Renbourne..... Tip of my tongue.

PENTANGLE...wasn't that John Renbourne and Bert Jaunch (I think that is how you spell it).
...looking it up....and the answer is yes ....Jansch is the correct spelling...I wonder where that album is? Off to the basement...
