Mike's cousin & her hubby decided they want to go on back home tomorrow so tomorrow we head on back home. It is gonna be tiring! Mike & I always traveled partway and stayed in motels on the way up & back so we wouldn't tire out. Oh well I'm not driving so I won't be as bad as if I had to drive back all that way lol...

That was a pretty neat video. I remember Daniel Amos but forget what songs they sang. I seem to recall going to some church youth thing way back in the 70's when they first came out & they were playing Daniel Amos albums their. Either their first or 2nd album. It was one of their more folky country sounding ones.

Actually agnes, my good friend (I hope anyway) it is not me as much as I would like to claim it as such. Cheryl, you sharpie, hit the proverbial nail on it's proverbial head.

They are one of my most favorite bands at the moment along with the ones that Terry is in as side projects. (Motor Cycle being my favorite album - 1985 I think) Those being the Lost Dogs, Swirling Eddies and himself. Got to see him this summer. He had his son, Andrew, and Steve Hindalong with him. Reminded me a lot of everyone's favorite folksinger (and yes, I mean Arlo) told some good stories and some funny ones too. He even did "Hide the Beer the Pastor's Here". What A HOOT!!

That particular tune always brought images to mind so I just tracked them down, so to speak, and put them together. First attempt at something like that and it went okay. Just wish some of the edits would have been a bit better. There are always improvements to be made, but one simply must stop somewhere (Denny's or IHOP) mustn't one?

i think about some of my friends lately (people i like very much) and wonder if they might wonder if i have lost my mind! (i may have hit tilt, but that is a different story and not what i am talking about here at the moment) i have ideas in my head that they might not (probably won't) agree with. also (this has been the case for years and years) the WAY i think of things is not always understood...blah blah blah...seems that way anyway. i have said it before, sometimes i feel like one of those aliens on third rock. but i don't want to be full of shit with you. the thing i am thinking about here is that i am not fond of religion...you and another person who used to come here but i haven't seen her here in quite a while will probably disagree with some of my ideas, but i have always been fond of you both! and i haven't got all the mysteries of the universe figured out either. but i sometimes like to think and wonder about them!
speaking of the great mysteries of the world...i sometimes wonder what would happen if i were to throw a party and invite all my favourite people together in one place...i have no idea!!!!!!
but i think it might send alice's mad tea party running for cover!

I would imagine that would be quite a party - meaning that it would be interesting and most likely enlightening at the same time. I'm pretty sure that some mysteries are meant to stay that way. I certainly don't have all the answers. Most folks wouldn't believe me if I did anyway. For some reason that reminds of a Paul Simon tune which has a chorus which sings/reads/is: I know what I know/and I sing what I have said/we come and we go/it's a thing that I do in the back of my head.

OOoOOh, the dreaded song fragment buildup!!! That used to happen when I was in a band. Someone would throw out a riff or progression and everyone else would join along only to come to a screeching halt after about 12 bars worth of the tune as we either didn't know the rest or didn't want to continue on with the rest. But I digest....
