Well.... he and Cheney would have to renounce the presidency to be able to devote himself full time to this great honor...

BUT!!! We'd still allow him 40%+ vacation time. Hell, 80% would be fine!!!

Deal?

Mikey may have something. You never know what will happen to someone that has never seen a brain cell, when they get a turn with one...

A glimpse into the future:

One sunny day in 2005 an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Ave., where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."

The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here."

The old man said, "Okay," and walked away.

The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."

The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here."

The man thanked him and, again, just walked away.

The 3rd day, the same man, approached the White House and spoke to the very same U.S. Marine, saying, "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."

The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the 3rd day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Bush. I've told you already that Mr. Bush is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don't you understand?"

The old man looked at the Marine and said, "OH, I UNDERSTAND. I JUST LOVE HEARING IT."

The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow."

Don't you think Bush is confused enough without me (the editor) trying to translate(impossible) or define(not impossible, but hard) his confusion? I mean Bush has made mr gnuspaper obsolete! I'm depressed.......on more than one level over this.

I'm disappointed with John Kerry...

In an excerpt from "that other news source" an article today that tells more of Kerry's background, (the New York Times Behind the Scenes, a Restless and Relentless Kerry By Jodi Wilgoren) I learned:
Quote:
... where former President Bill Clinton plays cards and President Bush turns to the treadmill, Senator Kerry strums his Spanish classical guitar in a kind of musical meditation. Lately, in the private front cabin of his campaign plane, he has been learning a new (old) song, "This Land Is Your Land."

He should have already known how to play it! (But then, I don't play guitar at all... yet. Better late than never!)

In an alarming poll taken in Iraq, it was reported that 45% of the citizens of Iraq wish to have Saddam executed and 42% wish to have him set free. This means if they were to apply Florida election law, Saddam would become president again.

<FONT size="1">Dear editor,
I would like to respectfully submit this article for inclusion in your rag--uh, that is, your erudite, sophisticated news organ, as it were. Perhaps it would go well in the section on trends--I wonder if it will start one here.

<B>Japanese Folk Singer Wins Parliament Seat

TOKYO - A peace-loving, flower-wielding Japanese folk rock star who campaigned against the war in Iraq claimed a parliamentary seat Sunday - one of the more unorthodox victories for Japan's largest opposition party in the national elections.

Shokichi Kina, who denounced Japan's backing of the U.S.-led war and occupation of Iraq, ran on the opposition Democratic Party's ticket to win a seat in the upper house of parliament.

"Trade all weapons for instruments. Turn all military bases into flower gardens. Let's have festivals, not war," Kina said at a music hall where he held a concert after being notified of his victory.

Supporters in rainbow-colored dresses with peace slogans celebrated as others threw a sweaty, smiling Kina up into the air.

The 56-year-old veteran peace activist opposed Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's decision to send some 500 Japanese troops to Iraq on a humanitarian mission. Kina warned voters that Japan was being led into war by the United States in violation of its pacifist constitution and called for "flowers to bloom" in the hearts of Koizumi and President Bush.

That message seemed to resonate among Japanese voters on Sunday. Kina won one of 48 seats in a nationwide district that the entire country votes for.

Sunday's election was the first major national poll since Koizumi dispatched troops to Iraq in December - a decision that was widely opposed by the public and denounced by the opposition.

Kina also campaigned on some issues contrary to his party's line, including independence for his home state of Okinawa, where a large portion of some 47,000 U.S. troops stationed in Japan are based.

The head of the Democratic Party, Katsuya Okada, said this was not the party's position.

Kina has vowed to serve only one six-year term and then step down.

With apologies to Scott McKenzie, "If you're going to Okinawa, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair."

Larry, I am glad you have stopped putting out your useless little rag. It was both an embrassment to you (as if) and to the reader.
You should have studied Pimp Daddy's style, he knew how to give the people what they wanted, sex and more sex.

So now what should Larry do? Well there is always your AA meeting and the sewing circle.
