jaboticaba, i aint never had nor seen no jaboticaba 'efore, you say its canned in the pantry there, I read ever label on the shelf (why some of 'em twiced), couldn't find no dang JABOTICABA, must be some kinda fancy imported furin fruit!

they didn't show it up yonder in Yankee land, but i comin' home to see the OState game, I'll be in the North Endzone! I was a fixin' to make some jale-peno cornbread, but it is tough to get Okry around here!

edited after the pokes beat the raiders, ruthie, you know occasionally I am conflicted about those teams, i spent 5 years in Stillwater and 6 in Norman, (Sorry Bobby D for misusing your thread, but football and Oklahoma are improtant!)

oh, i make a mean jale-peno cornbread with that good good buttery milk and lots of cheddar cheese and I cream a little corn myself to get the right moisture content, now I can white trash cook, i learned from my momma!

also, that is unusual for a sooner fan to be so sympathetic, why my sister n law she just barely tolerates my 'skimo Joes shirts

BTW, that aint (in my book) 'white trash cookin', rather 'DOWN HOME COOKIN!!

So sorry, PS, but I might just have to agree w/ your sis-n-law RE:'skimo's Tee!! But seeins how you LIVED there and all, I can let it slide! But I've never owned one, myself!
BUT Tejas, NOW that thar is a whole udder thang all together! I KNOW you KNOW that'n!

Although, while in Taos,N.M. some yrs back. I was standin at a crosswalk & right beside me was a couple, both wearing 'skimos Tees! We had a nice visit!
