I was in the express checkout line at the supermarket today, and you all know how they have the tabloids and little self-help books and the like there. There was a booklet titled "How to Get Pregnant" published by I believe Prevention Magazine. I mean I know there has been a real dumming down of the country since Bush took office, but are we even getting to the point where we need books at the supermarket explainng how to get pregnant? You can't make stuff like this up!

Do me a faver and look out of your windows, under your beds and in the backs of draws and tell me if you can see any sign of reminants of the British invation of 40 years ago. Things such as Childeran asking for high tea at four in the afternoon? Kids spending their pocket money on Breaded muffins insted of the cake veriaty? Or if the kids drive you mad on car journys humming the theem tune to Coranation Street?

I'm only asking, beacuse I was woundering if you suffered the same as we do from kids copieing. There has always been a lot of talk about the Amarican invation, and I'm not refering to shrubs fav hobby. The two fav mones are kids copieing the Simpsons, and about how Trick or Treating at halloween only came over here when ET came out; they don't seem to listen when I tell them that Halloween is a pagan festival nothing to do with worshiping the devil, that was taken over to your side by the pilgrims and Haloween has always been a british thing.

I oftern don't really listen to them when they start because they dont really make any valid point, but the other day Javan came out with something that made me think twice.

It was a cold morning and a O so thin layer of frost lay on Some garrage and shed roofs that wern't facing the rising sun. Javan came down stairs and said that there was snow on the roofs so he couldn't go to school? "What?" I replyed. he told me that when it has been snowing on a school day it's called a snow day so you don't go to school.
!

Javan must have been talking to Texans. Yes, indeed--snow; no school. It can't be just a dusting. But if there's ice on bridges, schools are closed. So maybe it's a Texan invasion (that still implicates Bush for those who don't realize he's from Connecticut).

Oooohhhh, noooo ya don't, Shelly! The wee bastard was born in New Haven, Connecticut (probably 'cause his daddy was at a "Skull & Bones" meeting at Yale!) but he's made good ol' Crawford, Texas his home, sweet home! Even has a Texas accent! So, yeah, we had the misfortune of his mother being in Connecticut when she popped him out, but he likes Texas! Lucky you! Please, keep him! Us gouldurn Yankees don't want the SOB!

Oh, no you don't! Texas ranchers KNOW what to do when a cow throws a calf that threatens the breed. The Connecticut Yankees didn't have the courage, and now they want to blame him on us. (Actually, we offered, even begged, to take him in 2004 and keep him in Texas for the good of the world, but rigged elections prevented that.) Sorry for being WAY off topic, but that wacko is the overriding topic these days.
