some really good stuff here...
i really really liked the david grisman vid! did you post something once with him and someone named sam?...maybe it was sam with some other folks...anyway i really liked that one too!

I really love Great Big Sea...I remember going to a folk festival somewhere in MD..they were playing, and Arlo was playing. We later hired them as closers for our local town festival...and they were a huge hit. Good mix of traditional Irish and Newfoundland sea chanteys and folk songs! These guys are REALLY popular in Canada.

I remember in 67-68 when this came out I was mesmerized by this song...you got me? I remember sitting there and watching it on the big screen and saying stuff like, cool!

My freshman year (71-72) at Ball State University (Muncie, Indiana) we had a folk festival in the spring, sponsored by the campus "Friends of Folk Music" club. The big name group we hired was a very new New Grass Revival. I spent the weekend watching Sam Bush (who was making all the girl's hearts go pitty-pat!) and the rest of the original members of this great band.
I liked that video...I've always loved Sam and Bela's playing1

Thanks ya'll. yeh, he is talented. I saw him on SNL too. The first member of my family to be on there & on be on tv with Steve Martin. I sure hope he wins a Grammy. Someone in my family deserves it... :)
