Oh that Bruce song has other ties than just the Boss did.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8CibAuvZM4

This song has roots into where I was hoping that born again stuff was true. "IT" just never worked for me.

And a Lady now from Kentucky who I knew from 78-81 which i could have married has all of this Bruce's albums.

i will call this segment: parachutes on the moon! (is that absurd?)

origins of the moonwalk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxZcLWAmdco

the other day i was thinking about that cab calloway song hi de ho (and the similarity in sound to that song arlo sings and sure enough!) and how i learned it from a friend of mine (some folks would sometimes call us the bobsey twins?) we were about eight years old (i want to mention that she is black, as i think it helps to paint a picture?)...anyway, i was at her place one day and we are goofing around and she all a sudden throws a finger in the air and all slow sings, "hi...de...hi...de...hi...de...hi...de
ho
ho
ho.."
i mean it was like she went far away for a minute and then came back and i crack up because i think it is hilarious, and ask what in the world that was? she is surprised that i had never heard of it, and by this time we are both in stitches...so then we get the idea to go put on some of her dad's sunday clothes and go out into the other room and sing (this "new" song) for her family...well it was pretty half-assed as we wound up collapsing in a heap of laughter over each other...and then we had to go put her dad's clothes back on hangers.

anyway! here is more from cab calloway...along with betty boop!

and now this!
