Actually the R&R Hall of Fame is not inducting alot of people that they should. 2 good examples are the Monkees & Tommy James & The Shondells. Many folks want those 2 inducted but the Hall of Fame regularly ignores them iwhich is a real shame. I too have been wanting Arlo to be inducted. He'd be the first to be inducted along with his daddy in there if he got inducted. The bad thing which they are doing is they are inducting too new an acts which I think they are inducting some rap acts now & acts that are too new while ignoring lots of older acts. The nominating committe oughta be comprised of folks who care but instead it's big wigs who ignore what the public wants.It's about time Arlo got in there. He truly deserves it as he's a legend. It just hit me, maybe he yelled, Kill, Kill, Kill & they wouldn't take him lol...

I read where Jann Wenner of Rolling Stone mag is prejudiced against the Monkees being in the Hall Of Fame cuz on their first 2 albums they sang but other folks played the instruments instead of them. That was Don Kirshners doing. They wanted to play their instruments on their first 2 albums. Mike Nesmith was so upset over not being allowed to play their instrumenets that he supposedly put his fist thru a wall when with Don Kirshner. On their 3 album Headquarters & subsequent albums they played all their instruments. They fought to have the creativity they wanted. It's time Jann Wenner put aside his predjudices & inducted them. You go Monkees & Arlo...

I would vote for the Wrecking Crew, those guys who did play on the Monkee's album's (and Beach Boy's, I think they made it?). Was George Martin or Brian Epstein considered a Beatle? I mean they are just as responsible for phase 2 and phase 1 (repsectively) of that fab fad! These things are difficult.

i went and looked at who has been inducted and let me tell you, that arguement to keep the Monkee's out is a bit more than thin! and there is no arguement to keep the Wrecking Crew out (because they were the sound behind the songs a lot here)! I could name a few more Booker T and the MG's and James Burton come to mind (they may have made it, but if they ain't there they should be). That Hall of Fame seems to be a good idea for Cleveland though and its a nice building!

Maybe someone needs to nominate him, but let's not get drastic about name changes and hair cutting.
