I saw the movie last night - This Is It, MJ's final production. It was good - not like a filmed concert, and not completely like a "making of..." - but kind of a combination. It made me realize that I probably would have loved being at one of his concerts (though I did not have any intention to attend). As klutzy as I am, I really enjoy watching someone graceful and agile dance. :) (The dancing was the best part!)

Wow, thanks for posting that, Agnes. I loved the creativity and vison of this video.

When I was a teenager, we used to ride our bikes down to the local high school and sing that song and dance that dance on this huge outdoor concrete patio (after everyone was gone, of course.)

snapping fingers...

When you’re a Jet,
You’re a Jet all the way
From your first cigarette
To your last dyin’ day.

When you’re a Jet,
Let them do what they can,
You got brothers around,
You’re a family man!

You’re never alone,
You’re never disconnected!
You’re home with your own--
When company’s expected,
You’re well protected!
Then you are set
With a capital J,
Which you’ll never forget
Till they cart you away.
When you’re a Jet,
You stay
A Jet!

Little did I know the music industry had just given birth to the messiah of choreographed video. Leave it to Michael Jackson, et. al. to modernize a classic.

Well Hello everyone!
I just got my PC after months & months of dealing with a VERY nasty virus. I figured this thread was as good as any for my return to PC life. I have truly missed you all!

I admit when I first heard the news about Michael, The Nicholas Brothers came to mind!
I loved the video you posted Agnes! The origins of the Moonwalk. That same guy posted a clip of Fred Astaire from the movie The Band Wagon, but set it to the music of Smooth Criminal.

First part is a bit hazy, but it gets clear pretty quick. Hubby & I were rather impressed by this. The moves are truly a work of art. Mike was a big fan of the old stuff.

It was said of The Nicholas Brothers that if a movie of their lives was ever to be made, the moves would have to be digitally enhanced because NO ONE could duplicate their moves. The splits and back to standing position using no hands? That's just crazy, but to do it whilst leap frogging down a set of stairs??

This will always be my fav!!

Hope everyone had a great halloween......on to Thanksgiving!

I have truly missed being here!

Thank you Cheryl!

I really enjoyed Your rainbow videos! Number 2 was awesome as it looked like a ship sailing towards you from right out of the end of the rainbow!
Truly beautiful!

I haven't seen this film. I've to get myself a DVD though as I heard it is a must see. I was actually kidding around with my friend about how we should watch it, if we should be dancing as if it's an actual concert. Hahaha !
