It could be said that I left a possible career as a musician, probably a folk-rock guitatist +, to learn how to repair, design and fly helicopters while studying engineering. After that, and learning that, yes, conspiracies do exist but are nearly impossible to prove so best ignored, I began studying gravitational, then stellar, physics in 1974. Worked as an engineer in many contracted situations while working hard to understand about how stars work, why fusion reactors don't, eventually how gravity probably works, trying to keep a guitar in one hand and now a computer keyboard in the other. For over 20 of those years I painted and erected signs to make a living a fund my research. (The avatar pic is from 1988) Now, if you called the code enforcement people here in this mid-sized Indiana town, and asked who Dr. Charbonneau is, they'd tell you he's this weird inventor who painted a mural on local mucic shop of an orchestra at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and now he's building a big houseboat in his back yard, wind turbines, sun batteries and other strange things like that.

I'm neutral about 2012, but I think it would be a good idea to prepare for a change in the way Mother Nature is doing business lately. She's probably going to do a lot more intense housekeeping in the near future.

I suppose the Group W bench shoiuld have a radical scientist or two. What I'm hoping for is that some other people, especially musicians and medics, catch on to this idea and start getting ready to do concerts afloat. I can envision headlines reading:

"GROUP W SAVES PLANET!"

Obama awards Arlo Guthrie the highest award in the nation for... (This would probably go into the story book area...) ... essentially, Mr. Guthrie has been commended for his superheroic efforts to pick up the garbage. Now we know how one Thanksgiving dinner could finally unite a whole world of people.





I'll likely never be able to get to one of Arlo's concerts because my other half has MS and (at 59 now) I have to care for her. I can no longer drive a car because I have polyneuropathy. (Been thinking about a motorsickle...) I'd need a car with handbrakes and poor, struggling hippy type scientist/artists/all-kinds-of-other-thingists, usually can't afford those dream machines. I can always be there in spirit though.

Well just remember, though, there's this dude in Indiana now, who is working to design and prototype an all purpose housefarmgeneratorsolarweatherlandweatherandquakevolcanofloodingproof boat that one can build in his or her backyard and ship via 18 wheeler to just about anywhere on the planet that just might be in danger of some of that.

I wanted to bring up my intro again because some ask questions and I think it was goofus that said some of my posts are weird. Well... what do you expect from an eccentric scientist? Some of the most important inventions, art and evidenced effects come from the weirdest, most eccentric minds. It is common to make the mistake that eccentric means unbalanced or unhinged. If we actually were to NMR image some of these eccentric, weird types, we would find that the hippocampus, hypothalamus and, very importantly, the tuber cinereum (optical processing prior to the pineal gland) are streamlined, so to speak. Sometimes all that is combined with asymmetry and the results are bipolarism and schizophrenia. Some of these sufferers are excellent artists and sometimes even scientists or mathematicians, such as Van Gough or Dr. John Nash (A Beautiful Mind).

Just so you know. I've been checked. I'm of the streamlined variety. (Thankfully )

Answering all those queries: If this were the 60's I'd have been involved with SDS. I think Obama has a lot of garbage to pick up and little help. Worse yet, the repugs want to make off with his shovels and rakes, etcetera. He tried the bail out the rich like Sherlock Holmes. The bad guys were revealed. Romney is too narcissistic to have any sincere mindset aligned with the needs of the lower and middle classes. Santorum? Gimme a break. I'd make a better president than he would and I know better to go there. Ron Paul? Too anal retentive.

Obama's got to be the most fun president we've ever had. If he's in for the longer haul, he'll pull through.


I hope the health care reform he initiated becomes reasonably adamant.
