Apparently the whole world took the rest of the week off. I'm at work but it appears I'm pretty much alone in that. Not only are not many people here, and there weren't many on the road, the number one way to tell that a lot of people are on vacation (drumroll please)is that there's hardly anyone posting on messageboards all over the web. (rimshot)

Borrrring day.

it's the emotional drain of the last week and the last few months, either that or everyone is saving up for the new year's party.

Yeah, Nathen. I think more the first than the second for most folks. Everyone I've run into is just real happy it's over. Kids are planning NYE parties and stuff, but no one else I've met.

Actually, things 'round here seem to be back to 'normal'. Business is booming...or at least the mall was. I have work tomorrow, and although it's bad to say, I hope no one is around! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Maybe everyone caught the cold I caught on Christmas Eve. I went to work today, only to come back home about 2 p.m. and sleep the rest of the afternoon. Couldn't be post-stress sydndome, of course! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/wink.gif" width=15 height=15>

Well Pat, besides all of the below, my computer crashed!!! Sue had fun, (lots of swearing) made a few phone calls, and after several hrs. decided to go back to square one. So there's a down side, having to replace lost folders.....But the upside, is with all the use-less crap deleted off my pute, it's almost like having high-speed internet access....

yup... it's a yawn week alright... i was practically alone here yesterday at work... today still pretty empty, but the parking lot at the train station had a bit more activity, which means those who only had 'days' left, are back, waiting to take that final 'day' next monday...
of course, some of us have no 'days' left, and end up minding the store.
time to catch up on my tech reading.

My brother took a couple of his 'days' and blew into town, and has invited me and marta to Russian Tea Room for dinner tonite... Should be quite an interesting meal! I did that once, and they made me stand in a line with a wheelbarrow full of rubles for 5 hours out in the cold to buy a loaf of bread!

i had a suspicion about that larry... considering what we went thru just to make the reservation!!!!!! Evidently, former (and some current?) members of the KGB are in charge of that area... it was quite gruesome an ordeal...

and just what do they mean "Tea Room"... huh???

OK. Blini. Really good caviar. Next comes a bit of chilled vodka, perhaps? Or do you want to get festive and go with champagne? Or, how about meeting up with a few of they White Russians and Black Russians?

Careful now, Arnie, Beluga sturgeon are almost extinct, in the Caspian Sea now. An eco-demonstrator might burst into the Tea Room & dump Caspian Sea Weed, on you...and that would engender a whole flood of emotions, not to mention, a cable news moment!

Hey I am around- had a looooooooong two months though- had a party that was absolutely insane, this was the week between Christmas and New Years, took three days to prepare... the last guest left at 8:30 am- wish I'd know ya'll were looking to adopt somebody- I'd have offered him up to blunderland!!!
