I'm sooooooooooooo confused!

Which came first? Dancing Mooses, dancing Turtles, or dancing Bears?

They all look strangely alike if you have consumed the right "KYND" of medication!

Must be the bears, 'cause the Mooses mostly walk, and poor turtle carries North America on its back; hard to dance that way.<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/wink.gif" width=15 height=15>

Turtles have been around the longest, ever since the time of the dinosaurs and even before Strom Thurmond was born, but mooses was dancing first to escape the bears, who learned to dance later to fool the mooses.
Turtles only learned to dance during the late disco period.

as I recall, the dancing bear came on to dance with the Captain, but Mr. Moose only talked, didn't dance... and I don't remember any Dancing Turtles at ALL!! Maybe Mr. Greenjeans had them swimmin' in the soup???


and since my son is officially a 'Terp' (Univ. of MD), turtles are quite dear to us!

Okay, Mr. Smarty-pants, this time I did a search. It's spelled koyAAnisqatsi. In addition to meaning "life out of balance" in Hopi (at least according to what I found), it's apparently an artsy-fartsy film by Phillip Glass that has quite a cult following. The things you can learn from 'da Bump (ta-diddy-boom-boom ... ooops, sorry, still in drumming mode).
If that's the meaning you had in mind, I do so totally agree. Need to make the turtle happy again.

Wow, I'm learning a lot. I just mean the Hopi (and some other native cultures') Turtle Island myth. We haven't taken very good care of the island on Turltle's back.
