Gathering Of the Vibes discussion

The Gathering Of The Vibes will be on July 4th thru 7th near my home. There are lots of discussion from folks who would LOVE for Arlo to come do the show.

I dont know how to contact him to see if he would be interested, can someone out there pass this on to Arlo. Plllllleeeeeeaaaaasssssseeeee

Homer, the best thing to do it make sure Leda has his booking information. Arlo's not going to ask to play GOTV, most likely, but if they approached him, I'm sure he'd listen to what they have to say. Has he ever played the Berkfest, btw?

It would actually be a pretty good move for him to play one of those festivals at this point. He picked up quite a bit of new interest from younger people when he did Furthur and it's been a few years. I don't know if they're paying what he's getting these days, though.

What's a generation in music, audience-wise? About four years, isn't it? FWIW, I couldn't agree with you more, Pat. And from what I'm seeing on the boards lately, there's a whole new generation that's hungry for some Guthrie in their lives.

Just a small correction. I'm told it's Whitney who's doing the booking. I don't know if she's in charge of pursuing the big names, though. Or if they have room for one more on the bill this year. But hey, you don't know until you try, right?
