After hearing 'More Together Again' I fell heavily into the bring your own God philosophy. After a few Church shows, hearing it live, it made even more sence...

**SO could somebody lend me thier God for awhile. I seemed to have made the shitlist for my own. For some reason, he's been kicking the crap out of me lately!!!

THANKS/Rb

there is no growth without pain...count it all joy...even the butt-kickings!

sometimes it's better to slap a hand, then to hold it.

nothing real can be threatened,,nothing unreal exists.

your a good man charlie brown!

and every day's a gift, even when it sucks. the hard part is feeling that when it's going on, right? that's probably where the work is...but Todd is right.
Hope you don't get any more growing pains for a while, though, RB. Everyone needs a break now and then.

Rb, a humble suggestion, sit down, uninterrupted, with "Mystic Journey"
that always brings me outta the muck....
I'd add Sarah Lee's "River" for a karmic "chaser" too....

As one who always has to fight the tendency to find the gray cloud inside the silver lining, I can only say, give it time. You've just suffered a tremendous loss. Nothing is going to look real rosy right now ... but hang in there. It will get better.

Also, what Todd and Pat said.

i understand how you feel rb... and all that's been said is good to hear...

but when in doubt, and with nowhere left to turn...

find yourself a good knish, and linger over it a while... nothing will have changed, but you'll feel a bit more able to cope...
And if you can have that knish with a black cherry soda... well... oy! you HAVE reached nirvana!

Well, he ain't a God, but to quote a folksinger we all know, "The ultimate cure for people with problems is to help people with bigger problems". I don't know if this quote is exact, but it's close enough. Start there, and pass it on! And remember Rob, you have friends here. Weird friends, but friends none the less!

Make that 8 gods, RB. And I suspect they're really one. I know you can't have a light without a dark to stick it in. but damn those darks can be too freakin dark sometimes, can't they?
Some good words people had to say here tho. Blundervibes to you. You're not alone.

What Todd, Pat, Bumper, Pam, Deb, Arnie, Larry, and Saki said. Precious Friend is my solace and I hope it helps you, too. Know that you are cradled in all of our outstretched arms.

It has been almost 2 years since I lost my remarkable and wonderful mom-in-law to Lou Gehrig's Disease. Horrible illness. Even more horrible not to have her here with us. I think the loss was especially hard because I had to help my husband and children get through it. I really didn't feel the impact of it until about a year later. I sympathize with what you are going through. And I'm so sorry for your loss. Please know that so many understand and send good, healing thoughts your way. Some of the ugliest things I've gone through in my life have been the very things that have made me more understanding and compassionate. Hopefully that is the good that comes out of bad times - that we see how connected we all are and how we can truly care for and help each other. Again, I'm so sorry. Hang in there.

Any time you feel yourself growing apart from God, be assured, you are the one that moved.....God, the great, I am, the it, the core of our being, is always willing to lend a hand, but first you must offer yours, he will not grab you, he is always willing to lead you into the light but you must be willing to follow, the illusion of your seperation from God is within you, not in him.

of course, I could be wrong, but my God is one of Love, the one that Richard Bach wrote of in Illusions, a very good read and one that begs the question, What If...

good job,,,rb...even nate showed up when you called.

Remember where you came from, where you're going, and why you created the mess you got yourself into in the first place. Your going to die a horrible death, remember.
It's all good training, and you'll enjoy it more if you keep the facts in mind.

Take your dying with some seriousness, however. Laughing on the way to your execution is not generally understood by less-advanced life-forms, and they'll call you crazy. (THFRM)

good to see you, nate!!!!
