Don't forget my 60's movies Pat! I go thru modes of NOT watching the telly for seasons at a time. I'm now stuck in the afternoon movie fix. It's great. Not commercials, lots of unknown trivia, ect. Not to mention the rain. Always back to the rain.

try on 'Beat the Geeks' at 7:30 on comedy station....66 here...I'm waiting on that 'Alice's question'....My kids want me to go on that show. But I'm afraid I'd be like Ralph Kramden on the Honeymooner's and know the answers, but be left there saying, Hubbata, hubbata, hubbata. Dereks convinced I watch it earlier in the day. Not so...

I'm thinking about getting a cable line for my computer too, and moving myself into this century.....however, I did promise the family that I would move the outhouse inside first, so it may have to wait.

Like Cheryl, we're in the country--3 miles past the cable cut-off. Looked into satellite, since I have one ... but, noooooo. Can't just get a modem for the one I have, they want $400 for ANOTHER dish. DSL you say? Well, yes, I'm close enough, but, nooooooo, I use Z-tel. They only partner with AT&T. So, as of now, my only option is to have pay for an AT&T line so that I can finally get online at home. SIGH!

It does indeed rock. I'm trying to think of something big to download. I'm always downloading things and now that I can do it fast I can't think of a thing.

No DSL out out way either. But msot the big internets like AMERICA OFFLINE, EARTHLINK etc have numbers for here so we're fine. Strange thing is we're not so far out in the boonies even tho it's the country. They have subdivisions around here on our road & a Food Lion grocery store. A small town is 5 minutes away. Richmond the big city is an hrs drive. Yet they won't put cable tv our way claiming we're not close enough to the subdivisions LOL!
