Yeah, it's our new religion. Mine and Bumpers that is, and whomever else cares to join. The religion of "selective obliviosity", is really on some level a folk processed version of Arlo and Ma's "wake up dead" thing. If you can see that, but ignore it, or if you can't see it, but you know it's there, you are already on the road to being selectivly oblivious. Welcome aboard.
Feel like preaching any Bumper?

Forever is real
And the rest is just fake.

oh yea! one ay men, for Todd! & Larry too, for the longest thread title, I've ever seen here....
gonna post this, in "lyrics that just nail..." too, a haunting, profound refrain, and, from one so young, too, it belongs, on this new thread.....
"One of these days I'm gonna find that river and maybe I'll go down.."

Sarah Lee Guthrie
I predict people will be quoting her lyrics for many decades

Todd, remind me to get Nathen so we can appoint you as a Sarah 'N Diputy, too

Sisters and brothers, oh can't you see
a religion borne, of selective obliviosity
the hummingbird blinks, the great whale breaches
while Larry & Bumper, and even Todd preaches
no need for ego, no need to preen
no need to fret & compulsively count bean
read the white spaces, or admire the clouds
banter with blunderites, sing long and sing louds
it's all there to enjoy, or not, you see,
it's your choice, with selective obliviosity
can I get an ayyy men...?

Hey Bump, I think we should make Todd a Deacon or a Pope or something in our new found religion. Ok with you?

Pope Todd, & Prophet Wyldflower, it is, Larry.
"ah, yes, the Toddian era, when blackbirds flew, singing, in the dead of night...barn burned down, now, I can see the moon"
