This morning I was riding my daughter's friend home when she mentioned something about a cousin who sniffed glue.

I replied that I was pleased to see folks getting back to old-fashioned values. So much better than sniffing cocaine & keeping some evil drug lord in business. Kids generally don't hafta rip off cash from their mothers' purses to buy glue. Glue sniffing gives revenue to companies like Elmer's, who will pay their taxes & create employment.

I grew up in a lower-middle class section of Pittsburgh where one could see the "older" crowd (age 20 & over) on the corner of Penn Ave. & N. Graham St. sniffing glue or dissolving Bayer aspirin in bottles of Coca Cola to get high. The fun part came when they'd go out in the street & direct traffic.

I remember hearing a rumor in the 70's that if you took a Contac pill & seperated the reds from the whites & took one of them I forget which one, you could get pretty high doing it. Never tried it tho. Contac always made me very sleepy. I remember us teenagers back then would take baby Orajel (The Orajel for bbabies & kids) & put it on our gums & lips to numb em. Kids back then thought it was something akin to being high...

And later today, we'll make LSD by putting toothpaste on an orange peel and leaving it under the bed for six weeks.

I never did try it cuz I was afraid of what might happen lol. I never took Contac much cuz it made me feel sleep, drowsy & just plain woozy & yucky...

Many of you may not know that there is a ranch in Crawford Texas that made history a number of years ago. It was the first project of it's size to be contructed without the aid of nails, screws and bolts. It's entirely held together with slow drying airplane glue, and it has poor ventilation.

Looking at the title of the topic on here I figured someone would probably put on here that I was sniffing glue LOL! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/laugh.gif" width=15 height=15>
