I'll double post this - at The Guthrie Center too.

Arlo says the stained glass window that's in the basement is in pieces and those pieces are in pieces.

I'd pay, say, $10.00 to have a shard of that historic window.

Someone else at Carnegie mentioned selling the pieces on e-Bay.

Just an idea.

Thoughts?

At one point, if I remember this right, Arlo sent some of that stuff home with Todd and his sister Georgia to do some sort of reconstruction, or to convert them into some other craft items to be used at the church.. I think that Georgia had some talent in that area. I also don't remember if it was some of the original stained glass, or the reproductions that were used for the movie. It's fuzzy in my otherwise lucid mind.

Is anyone in touch with Georgia? I never heard about this, Larry, but I never know anything anyhow.

Does anyone have some details on the window? Like how big it is, whether it's done with lead came or the Tiffany foil method, and stuff like that. My sweetie & I do a little stained glass and, if it's within our abilities, might consider offering our services.

I'd suggest that anyone interested in the Stained Glass project email Georgia Goodman... Todd's sister. She just recently registered here, so you can email her via Arlonet, by clicking on her profile.

Good to see ya again.

In a blundering way we may unravel this mystery.

Being new here, I'm at a loss as to who these folks are and how to contact them, or even if they want to be contacted about the window. We're about an hour plus a few minutes drive away from Great Barrington, so, depending on the day/date/etc., it wouldn't be a big deal for us to take a trip up and see how nasty the damage is. Is there a picture of the window online?

As posted on the G.C. forums Cindy has the glass safely stashed that was given to todd.
It is mostly small pieces and todd had some ideas for it that he ran by Cindy, myself,I think rb(??) and others. One was calling them "Guthrie Center Peaces"
When I talked to Cindy recently she said she will have internet access at her new place, hopefully we will see her return soon and once she and Mikey are settled then maybe we can do something with the pieces she has.She may have more info on what todd had in mind.

My misinterpretation. I didn't know if a repair plan was in the mix.

...seems to me that at the Spring Revival Arlo talked about getting the glass back together and up again someday.....
....it was an early concert and the sun was setting (before the black curtains were up).....and the light on the stage-altar was pretty amazing.....
...he mentioned they had the original window designs....in the movie - Alice's Restaurant....
...couldn't tell if it was a dream, a plan, or both....
....as for the kind of glass, cap zap....you might be able to tell from the movie....although the shots of them are brief an fleeting.......
...hey georgia...nice to see you here again....
