I got this info off of SLG & Johnnys site. They will be coming to Pittsburg, PA ~ Rex Theatre (copied that off the site so hence the wrong spelling unless there are 2 P-burgs) on Sept 30. Sounds like something Joe might be interested in...

Thanks for your thoughtfulness, Cheryl! You're about 2 days late, coz I found out about it by accident & have marked my calendar. They're opening for somebody whose name I can't hope to spell here. I saw Sarah & Johnny back in '03 when the Woody tribute tour came thru here. This means I will have seen Sarah & Johnny, Dylan, & Ramblin' Jack twice each since the last time Arlo was here, but I'll stop grousing about that now...

Joe, they'll (Arlo, etal) be in Lancaster on April 1. If I'm still an "east-coaster" I'll be there. I'll expect to see you there, too. Lancaster isn't all "that" far from Pitt... Eric drives it just to come home for Thanksgiving dinner! Surely Arlo's worth the drive!!!!!

Thanks for the info, Terrie. Arlo surely is worth the trip, but there's not many CPA's out there who can get away to go to a concert on Apr. 1 of any year, particularly one he's gotta travel to. I'll keep the date in mind in the event I make a sudden career change or something.

This is why we road trip. Cuz he's only done 3 local gigs in my area since I've been a blunderite lol. 1989, 1993, and one a few yrs ago. So it's his fault we road trip lol. Actually the fault of the places who won't invite him lol...

I know how rough it is is Spring for all you accountant types... but you do deserve a break... and for clients who wait until April to drop off their stuff... well phooey on them! Just think how absolutely rejeuvenated you'll feel after an Arlo show! It'll just perk you right up and the rest of the month will be a breeze for you!

I like the idea of calling in sick or just saying phooey, but it's easier said than done! That being said, I do have more fun than any 47-year-old that I know, so nobody needs to feel sorry for me. I have seen Arlo about 8-9 times. The list of concerts I've seen since Arlo was here last would make anybody's jaw drop. In any year I also see about 10 Pirate games & 20 basketball games, NTM weekly visits to the used record store & classic car cruises, as well as eating out frequently....but it's just a fact that Arlo ain't been here since Bob Dylan's 60th birthday in '01. I don't like to go to the Arlo boards & tell him "please, please come to Pittsburgh" coz there's already enuff threads over there with people telling him "please, please come to my house & sing 'Alice's Restaurant' in my living room" or "please sing this song I wrote" or "please let me play the oboe at your next show" & all that kinda stuff. But it's a fact.....OK, enuff about me!
