Just thought I would begin this already unpopular on other boards topic here....since this is supposed to kinda be the place for crazy {insert spaz emoticon here}. I am guessing the Group W Bench is the board for those of us not moral enough for .net {insert cheesy grin emoticon here}

This topic, if it remains, is for anything at all you want to say about Arlo

I think I will begin with "Howdy Doo" .......DO you realize how much I would give for a video of the recording sessions for this song? It had to take gazillions of years to be able to sing THAT chorus through {insert quizzled emoticon here} Play THAT one live won't cha {insert lovey eyed emoticon with an explody head here}

Hi Lenore!
Thanks for taking the suggestions to do your off-topic posting over here! Everyone at Group-W is glad to see another blunderite come by, so take that chip off your shoulder, and post away.
And it can be about arlo, or any damn thing your heart desires... just don't start any forest fires!!

And remember to join in at Arlo.Net forums when you feel the need to be on-topic for a moment.

Hi Arnie......it is hard to know what is on topic and what isn't sometimes I am sure you would agree, judging by other posts. Some stay up and some don't so it will take a while for me to get the hang of it (SparkyDon suggested just hanging back and reading for a bit so that is what I am doing).

As to "chip on my shoulder" I think my quirky sense of humor often gets misunderstood. I am really a pretty darn friendly gal. I just came to these forums to talk Arlo cause for some reason that is frowned upon on other forums dedicated to other artists (go figure).

Anyhoo.....enough about my boring self and my relative boneheadedness....back to ARRRRRRLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOO

Anyone else got Vision Shared? Don't you just love those green sunglasses? For the longest time I thought he had a green tiara on {insert retard emoticon here}

Lenore (attempting be be serious, then humorous, then....oh forget it)

I have irrelevent thoughts all the time, but it's kinda safe that I do, because unlike some people that have irrelevent thoughts and actually act upon them, I'm not a president.

Well, since I don't really know Larry, I think I will cast a vote for Arlo, whom I also don't really know (I just KNOW he would love to be President )

With Arlo for president & Larry for vice prez maybe they'll win the next election.

Well I got the Derroll Adams Tribute (Banjoman) from Rising Son yesterday and am finishing listening to it for the first time now. I hadn't heard Mr. Adams before except on the Ramblin Jack documentary (I had heard "Portland Town" before, but as Arlo predicted I hadn't known it was Mr. Adams' song). I remembered from the documentary I really liked his deep voice and was impressed with how accurate Arlo as well as Jack's impressions of how he spoke had been.

This is a really really good disc. I love all the songs Hans sings on, and was really surprised I liked Dononvan's contributions so much. I still think of Atlantis with that guy Arlo and Dolly sound so good together, I would love to watch them sing Dixie Darling live Ramblin Jack's version of "The Rock" is funny and it is good to hear Jack being all silly. I am glad they ended the disc with Derroll Adams himself on "A Profound and Beautiful Sadness", fitting and beautiful.

Arlo is still my favorite performer on here of course but, now I have been introduced to a world of "new" music to enjoy. Thank you Derroll....

President? Me? Sorry, I'm not a candidate. I have promised to complete my term as Governor of the State of Confusion, and I don't even know when the term ends.:/

I was thinking that this topic might be about how some long haired drug happy hippie freak turned a littering charge into a lifestyle, however as some people here refer to themselves as lustbunnys, I would be well advised to look elsewhere for meaningful comments regarding Arlo.
This whole area is well suited for cats that
refuse to be hearded and for peple who refuse to stay on topic.
One reason we do not stay on topic is we forget what the topic is and for that matter what we are saying regarding that topic.
I was planning to post here my complete knowledge of the female sex and how to please them, but that would be off topic
