you gotta find yourself a little song and sing it all day long..."

can you just see 100,000 people having good thoughts and cheering one another on, a new season of love, it's here if you want it to be.....

The new year is ours, we only have to decide that it is going to be better and then share the news with others, hell there are a lot of old hippies that done it once and dog gone it we can do it again.

What Pat said.

Also because

• It seems Blunderites and Guthries are growing in leaps and bounds.

• Old hippies are finally finding each other on the Internet. We're slow but we're good.

• We've reclaimed the flag from the right-wingers; it again belongs to all Americans.

• The world is going to get the sonofabitch this year, and his little dog,* too!

_____
*"Little dog" is not really a dog, it's all the networks he controls.

because...I think everyone wants to try a little bit harder to connect and help each other after the attacks of last fall.

Hi - I am making good on a New Year's resolution to introduce myself. VERY shy as a rule, but I enjoy hanging out here so much that I decided it was time to stop being a voyeur and participate! I am in my 30's and stay at home with my kids (5 of 'em). I used to see Arlo and Pete at Wolftrap in Vienna, VA as a kid. We'd sit on the lawn - good times. My parents were fans, so we'd go everytime they were there. Just found the site this fall after seeing Arlo at Pitman, NJ. I am definitely "weird", at least that's what my friends tell me. My kids think I'm a hippie, and if you can be a 30-something hippie, well that's what I am, I guess. And like 2002, anna is also the same comin' and goin' -- so I'm thinking that's a good sign. Peace.

Hi, Anna, good to meet you. No need to be shy around here, as you've probably seen. Wow, five kids! Brave woman.

Glad you decided to break the ice and introduce yourself, Anna. Welcome to the fray!
And don't worry about anyone thinking you're weird because you're a hippie. It kinda' goes with the territory. Why, if no one thinks you're being weird, you probably aren't doing it right...

Besides, if you were "normal", you wouldn't be here in the first place!

WOW, 2002 is off to a good start, Anna, welcome, this is a good place to be and now if you will take a moment to hug each of your kids and tell them they are loved, we can get summer of love thing started, I myself, just try to say a few kind words to everyone I meet, but maybe saturday after my bath I too might try to hug someone.
