Deb, I'm guessing "WWAD" is "what would Arlo do?" & no, I don't think Blunderites should think or act, in lockstep w/ the Old Guy...I just mean, I like how he thinks.....& acts
Shannon, I'll do a Celtic Limbo, w/ ya, anytime, Lass...!

I really want to know who came up with the idea for WWAD?! That's hilarious!

No I'm not saying we have to do and think everything Arlo does as if he were our deciphal. He'd probably disown us all if we did that! lol. But I mean the philosophy here is that we welcome anyone from all walks of life, and using racist terms on a board that springs from the love everyone philosophy is a bit jarring that's all. Didn't say it couldn't be done, or anything, lol. 1st amendment RULES! lol.

Hey Bump, the Celts are usually a bit too heady-up on the Guiness to limbo, but if ya can keep me from hittin' the floor...

my my my...read up on the last few days and you guys have been busy!
VERY energizing..i loved it.
but gotta say a few things

rob...same topic just seems different...it all comes down to tolerance and how much.

about this evil thing..come off it...no different then screaming
God is on your side
God is on all sides not just one...he is saddened by our actions throughout history....watching acts of man NOT God.
it's the same with evil...on all sides, but not calling the shots. just sitting back as we create our own 'evil'.

i heard some say "hey, don't say that" and claim no prejudice them holler,,"Woo Hoo..Yea Us!" hm
think i'll bite my toungue on this one.

deb..guess ya never masturbated either...
(now THAT'S evil)

Todd...you are my brother and i am proud.
you have helped raise me and my kids.
you've been there for all the tears and all the laughter.. please remember this...
for as deep as any crevise you've driven is as high in the sky you have soared.
you are the essence of Yin and Yang to me.
i thank you

i know there's more i want to say but i have this short term memory deal going on...
guess i said enough anyway.

"In Defense of Myself"
Think of me which way you will
to call me thoughtless you would be wrong
no luck, no quiet mind
thundering redundancy
makes it hard to stand strong
no luck, i find it unkind
to think about everything
to mill it over again and again
is not a state of mind to wish upon a friend
so don't bother calling me thoughtless
unless it's a wish bestowed on me
a hope that i would one night rest
a prayer a peacefull fight could be

GG
peace and stay safe

Deb, ya wanna know my worst. Is to hear people (and I mean strangers. DEFINATELY NOT my friends) To ease drop, hear them use the N word, and then say they love Jimi Hendrix!

I like your guys post! Good stuff. Georgia, your great! Leaving with a song.

**********This Masquerade*****************

All we really have babe, in this lonely game we play
Looking for words to say
Searching but not finding, understanding anyway
We're lost in this masquerade

Oh afraid to say we're just too far away
From being close together from the start
We tried to talk it over but the words got in the way
We're lost inside this lonely game we play

Thoughts of leaving dissapear every time I see your eyes
No matter how hard, I try
To understand the reason that we carry on this way
We're lost in a masquerade

Sorry wrong song. THIS is the right one...

**************Magic Mirror****************

Standin by the highway, a suitcase by my side
No place I want to go, I just thought I'd catch a ride
Many people look my way, many pass me by
In moments of reflection I wonder why

To the thieves I am a bandit, the mothers think I am a son
To the preacher I'm a sinner, Lord I'm not the only one
To the sand ones I'm unhappy, to the loser's I'm a fool
To the students I'm a teacher, with the teacher's I'm in school

To the hobo's I'm imprisoned, by everything I own
To the solder I'm just someone else who's dying to go home
The General sees a number of polititions too
To my friends I'm just an equal in this whirlpool

Magic mirror won't you tell me please, do I find myself in anyone I see
Magic mirror if we only could, try to see ourselves as others would

To policeman I'm suspicious, it's in the way I look
I'm just some other charactor to feed a phantom book
To the censor I'm pornagraphy, with no redeming grace
To the hooker, I'm a customer without a face

And the sellers think I'm merchandise, they'll have me for a song
The left ones think I'm right, the right ones think I'm wrong
And many people love my way, and many pass me by
And in my quiet reflection, I wonder why?

Magic mirror won't you tell me please
Do I see myself in anyone I meet?
Magic mirror if we only could
Try to see ourselves as others would

If that's what I'd been talking about, you might well be right, but I'm afraid you missed my meaning. I'm not quite sure how you got what you did out of what I wrote either, but sorry for being unclear to you. Maybe if you'd read some of my posts over the years you wouldn't have seen what you did. I don't know.

In any case, I was referring to anti-Americanism as it shows up in foreign countries. I don't have a problem with anyone blaming us for what we actually do, either. It's when we get blamed for the things those governments are doing to their own people, without any help from us -- or even any knowledge on our part that it's happening. I grew up in a foreign country, and after a while it gets old, hearing about how all Amercians are incredibly wealthy, and how we spend all our time (indivudually and collectively) trying to find ways to screw the little guy. Given the parochial nature of Americans by and large, it's fairly laughable.

And Todd, I'm well aware that there's a difference between a hippie and a flake, but since you don't really know me all that well, I don't think you're in a position to judge which I am -- even if you don't appreciate my writing style, which no one says you have to do. As for all of Woodstock kknowing I'm a witch ... That's the best they've been able to come up with after 20 years of doing their best to find fault with everything I do, and of trying to pin the blame on me for everything and anything possible? Wow.

i read your post a few times to ensure it's content or intent...

i explained the hippie/flake thing was a lead in for a comic bit...i really thought that the fact i stated that i could see you via remote viewing would sort of set the tone..i was wrong..

i have nothing against you or your writing..
i'm just goofing on you...you seem so thin-skinned and defensive..had hoped it would push you forward..wrong again...

i'll do your bidding and leave you alone..
i mean no harm..just screaming from inside here.

I have the flu. That should explain anything else that needs explaining, if anything does.

Who's being thin skinned? And here I thought I was simply giving my own POV. BTW, I hadn't seen your caveat (i.e., joke lead in) yet, either. Or in the immortal words of one of the greats: Well, ex-cuuuuuuuuse me. There. That better? I do so try to keep you happy.

One more thing about being a witch, and knowing what words mean ... all Woodstock recognizes me as a wise-woman, hunh? That's sooo perceptive.

last summer the bush admin claimed that our troops were spread too thin..planned on pulling them in...

now, we have troops in more hot zones then anytime since WWII...

yesterday, our military leaders acknowledged that our troops were all but isolated and surrounded by warring factions in afghanistan..they advised expanding our efforts...this is probably necessary..
we usually don't put our people out there without sound military backup..if for some reason we were to lose air support, things could go badly for the ground troops.

if the philipinos wanted us there, we'd still have subic bay open..they don't want us there.

the okinawans want us off their island too..
they are tired of having their children raped and abused by our marines.

south korea was trying a sunshine policy with north korea..at least until bully bush
went off half cocked...they really don't want us there either.

we're sending two brigades to columbia..
yet three children from the bush family have been arrested in the last year for substance offenses. no matter who controls the country..the drugs won't cease..time to assist our children..if you can't help your own..why do you think you can help mine?

covert activities are growing in africa each hour..yet more africans are dying from aids then the black plague killed..

the war in israel is raging..hard to even keep up with the bodycount.

i agree,,NOW we are spread too thin!!

one general stated,,,that nobody will ever again fight us head on...and with good reason...but they will use any means necessary...that is the terror.

strange times, indeed, Todd,
Bush & crew now assume the mantle, of "the forces of good, out to destroy evil"
yet, only vague, inaccurate definitions, of what "evil" is, no attempt at understanding other perspectives, no acknowleagement, of the effects of "blowback"
methodology of "destroying evil" is "smoke em out, run em down" yet, "smoke em out, is high tech, remote control warfare, out of Tampa, at a billion $ a day rate, unsustainable...
and, we run em down, w/ heavy feet. telegraphing our every step, beforehand,,,,strange times....no wonder Europe is scratching their heads, thinking, "what the hell is he/they doing?"

i was saddened to hear of daniel pearl's death..and hope the best for his family left behind.

BUT, once again we have sworn to hunt down and punish the offenders...it reminds me of the movie the out of towners..with jack lemmon running around new york city making a list of all those that run afoul of him..names, badge numbers,,,and so on...yep, he was sure he'd make everyone of them sorry...

i figure being group w,,,sooner or later we'll be on that list AGAIN!!!

i wanna be like huey p neuton...grow a tail so that when i hear the noise coming up from behind, my friends can assure me that nobody is sneaking up on me...it's just my tail!!!

I figure we're already on it, just not too near the top of the list, yet.
