I spoke to Todd on the phone a short time ago. He's gunna be in the hospital again for a while it sounds like. He says hi to everyone that says hi to him!

Ok, I was out yesterday, so my silence was due to absense. Am I excused?

Another 58 minutes and it would have been a record-setting ten
(10) whole days of silence in this Forum. Was it a conspiracy? Even deer caught in the headlights talk more saying stuff like, "Are those GE or Phillips halogens?" and "I sure hope they got their brakes done at Pep Boys!" Thanks for breaking the silence, Todd! How is ya?

As for me, I've been waiting for Todd to break the silence, which you did; waiting with baited breath about how you are after a few days' recovery from the marathon trip. Also, it's June, so when on the list? I know it's you waiting to be on the list and I mean to be respectful of the own-li-ness that must feel like, but still I feel like we're all waiting to be on <u>the list.</u> The valve for blundervibes is stuck on "on."

okay...today is wednesday...i've lost 40lbs
of fluids in a week..at home..but the price is steep...cramps, itching, sore throat, and pounding headaches (which i think sparky and
larry actually cause.

i go to hospital today to meet with team..
and adjust whatever is needed.

friday i go to hershey medical center for an
ultra-sound. there the presence or lack of presence of cancerous tumors and such must be
confirmed..no cancer..move on to the next step...cancer detected...i am no eligble for a transplant...

while there..they will use the ultra-sound to try and locate isolated pockets of fluids and
draw them out..which means i'll be punctured
over and over..til i friggin scream for morphine.

this whole process will be repeated in two weeks..again for confirmation.

haven't been able to sleep for more than fifteen minutes once and a while..so i'm
exhausted...like i've never been before.

have had five blood transfusions in the past two weeks..will need at least a few more for the processes described...or i run the danger
of collapsing internally...my body is eating itself and i turn my tissue into mush each
minute..and that aint no picnic..

anyway, thanks for asking...my mind seems to be moving into transplant mode..and at the least it feels good to attack this god forsaken monster inside me..instead of always
taking an ass kicking and never getting to get a round off at it.

as painful and as endless this disease may seem todd, it is good to know that you still feel hope, and take strength in the knowledge that at least you are raging against the beast. Somehow the act of rebellion and refusal makes one stronger, and able to brave the horrors of the cure, with the visions of peace and wellness that lies beyond the battle.
