I just heard that General Wesley Clark candidates for the Democrats... I like his honest eyes and his point of view !
If I were American I'd support him.

I'm supporting him. He's smart, which will be a refreshing change. If national security and our economy are the big issues, he's qualified in both areas..having been a war hero, a four star general and commander of NATO and he's taught economics at West Point, that being one of the areas of his Master's that he got at Oxford when he was a Rhodes scholar after graduating first in his class at West Point.

Most of all, though, I just live for seeing him debate with Bush, especially when the moderators address him as General. Bush could always bring his action figure along..the one that commemorates his playing dress-up in a flight suit.

I signed the petition asking him to run, and also plan to support him. After all, anyone who can get both Pat and Michael Moore behind him . . . (at least Moore's gushingly close to saying so).

I'm thinkin' and hopin' and prayin' we'll actually hear from him some new, fresh, real ideas about how to turn this big ol' cruise ship around on a dime in time to avoid running off the edge of the earth.

Bush is not invincible, and the Dems need to get behind ONE candidate to take advantage of his vulnerabilities. Clark seems to be the one who can best accomplish this.

Now what about the VP spot? Would Dean or any of the others be willing to play second fiddle, after trying for the top job?

Clark has formally announced his candidacy. His website: America for Clark has a lot of info about him and his stands on various issues. I have a bit more reading to do, but I believe I will support his campaign.

I thought he may have been positiong for the number 2 spot since he didn't declare his intentions as soon as the others in the group. He may soon be the favorite. If Dean remains on top, I can still see Clark as a running mate. I dunno......to early to tell.

Well, we'll see what happens. The extremes at both ends are digging out what trash they can, but it's a weak effort so far. If he wins the nomination I'd love to see Dean as his running mate, but I'm having a hard time picturing Dean accepting that role. Some people have suggested Edwards. It would be two southerners, but I don't think that would matter. Of course there's nothing to say that the VP has to come from this field of candidates either, but I hope it does. I like most of them to one degree or another.

I think Clark would pull more republicans that the other candidates. wait and see.
