I was doing some serious lurking on the web on that unforgettable TV Show "Byrds Of Paradise" and I found a link TVShowsOnDVD.com and provided a poll you vote on for all 13 episodes to be released on DVD. Wouldn't it be sugary sweet to watch Arlo on another DVD release besides "Alice's Restaurant"? :) 8)...C'mon lets give it a shot with those strong clicky fingers!
Here is the link:
Living In Paradise, Free As A Byrd By Alan's Silvery Moon
HAVE FUN!!

Peace,
Lorie

That's not the only Byrd's site I've seen on the web. ( altho it's the ONLY one I saw that suggested voting for it's resurection )..... The other site, had allot of memorabillia of said show... It also had a section, where you could add your comments, or aka, review of the show..... I wanted to post the url so other people could ck it out, but the reviews were very nasty for the most part....

One example, was that the show's plot, was stolen, from another show, of the same plot, that was indeed stolen from another show, to obtain a plot....

So I didn't post it, as nuthing, was good about it..... It wasn't very complimentary to say the least.... One good review was in the end of the show, the final episode, where Arlo sings Moon Song, and Timothery Buesfield runs off into the sunset... altho mentioning, it was a good finale. as this thing was dead in it's tracks from day one....( The shows premier was aired on my Birthday, 3/3/93/..... I praytell rb didn't have his bad kharma run the show amuck!!! )

* Not Robs opinion... I liked the show. To be fair, I think the acting on Guthries part coulda been better? Especially the scene where he is evaluated by the shrink, to see why it's in his best interest to be the oldest high school student in America? As if his intentions were to be, in the Guiiness book of records..... I always thought that mabye they shot that scene in one take, and if the budget woulda allowed, that maybe in 10 or 17 takes, they coulda got it down, to an Oscar Nomination???

I think that, if they would of made the thing, a made for TV movie ( or a Movie at the Theater ) it woulda been a hit... People don't want to turn in each week, to see wholesome family crap.... They want to see blood, and drive bys, and rapes, and murder, drugs and the like..... That's just the way it is.....

My favorite episode ( as far as acting ) was where the principle of the school, convinces (persuades ) Busfields charactor, to accept Alan Moon into the school, as he had the integrity to take the rap for his son, that was involved in the drug trade... Alan doing a 7? yr bid, for his friend, as his friend had more to lose.... Or his conscience wouldn't let him rat out his friend..

That's where the plot would have made a good movie....

My wifes favorite show, ( ghost Whisperer ) starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, isn't 1/2 as entertaining as Byrds was... ntm: like that plot wasn't stolen.. How many more shows can they come up with, " I SEE DEAD PEOPLE" as a plot. ( theme) but Jennifer is easy on the eyes, so it will probly be in syndication, in a couple yrs.....

I don't know why they couldn't take cancelled shows, & run them on Nick at night, for all us Cult fanatics out there.....

Far be it for me to figure out TV production....

Piece out/ RB
