I was very impressed with the VH1 Special that documented the recording of Warren's last album.After being diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer he was determined to finish the album before starting treatment.
The documentary showed a brave,sensitive,human side of Warren.It also showed the down-to-earth,quick wit that has been a part of so many of his great songs.
When he related being asked about regrets,Warren said, "I wish I had savored every sandwich".

Tex Ritter's son, John, died last night, his daughter's 5th birthday... aortic rupture.

John Ritter (son of Tex) passed away suddenly yesterday evening....
Counting Larry Hovis who died two days ago, does that make Three's Company???

Sorry to hear of the two Johns demise. Especially the 3's company, seeing he was relatively young, & it happened unexpected. I grew up in the country where there was NO cable. So watching that show wasn't an option. Never liked the show or nothing, just loved the babes. I suppose in retrospect it had it's moments of comedy. I just never found the dumb-blonde thing laughable? NTM: Yrs. later, Don Knotts made his way onto the show. Anything of Andy (specially Barney) is genious!!!!

With the Highwaymen, Cash's verse had him on a starship, and when he reaches the other side, he'll rest his spirit if he can.

I sure hope his spirit's at rest and he's with June again.

Johnny was a genius that will be missed, but his music will never die. Look at what he did with that Nine Inch Nails song. The video was one of the best and most moving I've ever seen...

The "Man in Black" was so much more than a talented country performer.He had the nerve to write and sing songs with a sensitive understanding of disillusioned youth back in the turbulent '60's.Who could forget the gut wrenching honesty of "What is Truth?".
In my rebellious youth Johnny Cash was one of the few country performers I admired and respected.He will be sadly missed.

I was sorry to hear yesterday the Jonny cash had died. I have a few of his albums, including his last, it really is just one of those phenomenal LPs.
