I'm on my laptop, just finally got internet access. Friday and Saturday nights were fantastic. Wyld, Sue, Diana and I have been working in the kitchen with George. Arlo played Percy's Song for me Friday night.

Setlists tomorrow after HD Walk. Too tired now, suffice it to say this has been a wonderful weekend. More tomorrow.

Saw Arlo & the gang last night at The Guthrie Center. A good time was had by all!!! Does anyone out there have a set list?? : )

Yes, I have setlists from Friday, Saturday and half of Sunday. I'll post in a little while, just got home 2-1/2 hours ago, still resting up and telling everyone here about my weekend.

Small "crowd," very intimate show. It was like sitting in his living room, chatting with friends. George ran the kitchen, waitress service, everything ran very smoothly. Terrific food.

The day began chilly and damp. Lots of VW Microbuses in the parking area. Kids, a dog, lots of folks lining up to participate in the annual HD Walk-a-thon. Lisa signed everyone in and Abe recorded stuff on his laptop. By 9:30 the lines were out the door and across the lawn. Everyone looked ready to go out and raise a lot of money for a great cause.

Arlo came out and sat on the front steps (which were decorated by Sue and her beautiful flower arrangements). Old friends, new friends. A very organized hecticness. The sun finally burned off the clouds and we had a nice, not too hot, day for a long walk. Jim came out and announced that the initial count was well over $17,000!

Eric (my 20 year old) and I were stationed at the half-way point. When we arrived at our spot, we noted the large water jug, and a sign that said something about shrimp cocktail. Sure enough, there was a large cooler filled with shrimp on ice. I brought 3 64 ounce bottles of Gatorade, which went quickly. I had the CD of the October show blasting on the car stereo, had some extra chairs and played host... along with Sue and Ellen.

On our way from the church to "our spot," I noticed a refreshment station to my left. On the table were large jars of pickles. I said to Eric, "why would they have pickles for breakfast? OMG! That's too funny." Then again, Eric had asked me the night before as he was falling asleep back at the motel, "did they name her [Sarah Lee] after the syrup?" "The syrup? What are you talking about?" "Oh, that's Aunt Jemima." I guess we were both a little tired from such a busy weekend LOL

Eventually, the walkers began to arrive, ranging in age from around 4 years old all the way up to a man who had to be in his eighties! One man even brought his dog (which he shouldn't have because it got hit by a car later in the morning... last I heard, the dog was ok).

After the last of the walkers were fed and watered, we cleaned up the site and Eric and I headed up to the Police Officer's Station where I had my picture taken behind bars. The door of the "cell" had a poster on it in memory of Officer Obie. The police were handing out goodies, too... Stockbridge Police pens and keyrings.

We didn't know how to get to the "scene of the crime" so we had to backtrack. When we got there, we saw girls wearing garbage bag costumes and some guy in a yellow raincoat called the Dump Diver. Signs were posted on the chainlink fence proclaiming "Dump Closed" and "Arlo was Here." Then we went to Theresa's Stockbridge Cafe Formerly Known as Alice's Restaurant for lunch.

Y'know how when we go to shows and/or the HD Walk, we carry cameras or video cameras? Well, Abe was videotaping US!

The last show of the series began at 7. I only have half a setlist because I got sick and had to leave at intermission. I'm hoping someone else will have kept a setlist.

I'm sorry I don't have more to share. I was sad to have to leave, but I left carrying with me the warm glow of the love and fellowship that the entire Guthrie family (extended family... includes those of you who were there) shares with everyone else.

Thanks for your post Terrie it sound like you had a really wonderful time. I so wish I could have been there too. I could do with a really good long walk too considering I have two stone to lose from having Arlo. Maybe in a year or so we'll be able to come over though. Thanks again for your post, Me.
